Don’t be fooled by the coat of paint, A lot of these classic cars are rotten. Look at the damage on the Ford Granada MK2 Limo (99) that got hit on the side by the yank tank. That would only happen if the car was rusted beyond repair. It’s also worth pointing out that some cars that get raced are authorised by the local council to be destroyed.(fire damage being one of the major reasons) So if a classic car has to be destroyed anyway you might as well have a bit of fun with it. That’s what these guys are doing.
@@stressball1324 don't be fooled by what people tell you, sadly your misinformed, thousands are paid for final cars to be raced and smashed, show me mk1 granada coupes and P5 rovers for banger money and I will buy them all. The council don't hand over classic cars to banger racers to race
@@joeedwards9721 There’s something I’ve just realised. I’ve responded to you before and I gave a detailed comment on why so many classic cars get destroyed in banger racing. All you responded back was with two words, “Sadly misinformed”. When I commented back to you to say, “why was I misinformed?” You never responded back. Goes to show you lost that argument. I would tell you where to find these classic cars for banger money, but they all get snapped up very quickly, Whether it’s eBay, Facebook marketplace or even your local scrapyard. Hence why you don’t see any. But it’s worth pointing out that I’ve heard reports that they’ve been starting to import these classic cars from South Africa. Maybe you want to start looking there? It’s also worth pointing out with some of these classic cars they’re not even using the same chassis that the car originally used. Some classic cars are basically Frankenstein creations where they combine several bits of cars to create one banger. it’s quite interesting. As much as I will type that all this to you, I will admit one mistake I did in my previous comment and that is with the council, it was an error that I made while typing, What I was supposed to type was “insurance company” Insurance companies need to make sure they dispose broken cars so they often sell out their cars to scrapyards which banger racers own. Whether they’ve been involved in a road accident, a fire etc… They’ve got to make their money somehow. If you want to restore classic cars, That’s fine. You have the right to do that. But what I’m trying to say is that sometimes you need to think and go “Why is it they’re destroying these cars? Can’t they all be saved? Or is there a bigger reason behind it? Besides, if you don’t like watching this kind of stuff, why is it you are even commenting in the first place? I don’t know about you, but I don’t look at videos that I don’t like and before you say “I have free speech!, I have the right to comment!” Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism.
