不是每一个歌手都能，把粤语歌唱，唱得好，就算香港歌手，也不例外。

Many many many people copied. I think some did pay royalty, some did not. You can search online for "安全地帯"/Anzen Chitai ("Safety Zone").

I think in HK, the people who sang the Cantonese version was Alan Tam... and then someone else, like Jacky Cheung too, I think. Then they released CDs. But bearing in mind that, during those days. you did not have things like actually a corporation to wrap the copyrights, or IPs. So therefore, people did not pay royalties and things. And now, I am surprised that someone like yourself from Singapore/Malaysia, do not know who sang the original version.
And when we had things like PCs, and Microsoft made so many computers, so many people soft fake, or pirated copies of this music and song. And this is why EVERYBODY knows this song... It is not a "华语歌", or a "粤语歌". It is a "日语歌"!!
I like him singing this song, cos I fall into that age group... and he remembers it. And those of us who do like it, it does bring back memories of our dating years. Nothing to it really. Nothing too harsh or too typical. and the fact that, he could sing it in mandarin, the original writer of the song and the composers, must have come from a tonal language... That language was Japanese. Not Cantonese, or Mandarin. It was a Japanese song. The band members must be around 67 now. They created the band around 1973. I listened to this song around 1990s... like mid to late 1990s.
看了芒果tv版和tvb版，芒果tv的声音很吸引人让人直接进入首歌情绪里面，tvb啊！你能播回正常版本吗？
