In this video we pick up where we left off last week with a broken outboard and retired boat with still a week to go at this epic beach camp. We wake up to find whale sharks swimming just off the shore of our camp and the motivation to fix the boat became very real. An hour and a half later, and to our disbelief, we were back out on the water and ended up having the best experience on our boat to date! Even better do it with our mates @SarahandKeelanTravels
We are treated to some epic weather on the Ningaloo for the rest of our week and do plenty of boating, diving and enjoying all that beachfront camping has to offer. We also check out the ruins of the old whaling station, just south of the South Lefroy campground.
At the end of this episode, we run through how we managed our water usage in this 14-day stint with no access to water, including some tips on how to make it stretch out longer and ultimately, was our 350 litres enough to last the whole 2 weeks?
Stay tuned for next week’s episode where we continue our adventures on the Ningaloo but this time at the most highly sought-after campground in Western Australia! Subscribe now so you don’t miss it!
We hope you enjoyed watching this episode and thanks so much for the support and kindness on our videos! We're on the trip of a lifetime as we travel Australia full-time so subscribe now to see the whole adventure.

Videos like this are why I don’t watch free to air tv anymore. 👍
Thanks Jon, that means a lot mate 🙌
I’m with you, sensational footage and editing
likewise
Same here
I cannot believe how fortunate you were. We swam with the whale sharks in 2022 and what an experience. Your free dive with only the four of you is worth a salute. Well done and excellent footage. Congratulations to you two and Kayleen and Sarah.
Thanks Mark, its a pretty special experience 🙌
That is what dreams are made of 😊
Was it just me or was Brad calling Keelan Keegan? 😂 Isn't there any fear of sharks when you are diving out deeper? Its amazing how well thought out your off grid camps are...from food to water. Great episode guys! 👍
Haha yeah just taking the micky out of him! We are always aware of sharks but we don't dive with spear guns so their attraction to us is much less. The long stints off grid do take a fair bit of forward thinking but its definitely worth it 🙌
My husband Peter has swum with whale sharks twice so understands your excitement when you had a whale shark to yourselves although his 2 dives were before they were a such a big tourist attraction . Great weather you had …………great photography thanks .
Thanks Fleur! It was an unforgettable experience 😄
Stunning place, went in there a few years ago to stay a week, left a month later 😃. Water from the pipes in the dunes was not to bad if you took it from the top. Lost my drone there while filming the old light house, got taken out by a eagle 😢 great clip thanks for sharing brought back lots of memories
Great episodes....
Fantastic episode guys. The frustrations with the boat motor will fade away but the memories of swimming with the whale sharks will last forever. So jealous!
Absolutely! Happy to report it has been running strong ever since these last dramas 💪😁
I swam with the whale sharks in 2018 off Exmouth. Amazing experience. This makes me want to do it all over again. Great video guys.
Thank you 🙌🏼😁
Great video guys. I must admit I did get super jealous watching. 😅 bring on our turn 2025
Wow that certainly was a trip of a lifetime, awesome guys, well done. Have to ask sorry - who's Patsy lol
thanks for watching guys, its just a nickname for the cheese and kisses 😀
Wow. Your best video by far. Great work guys. Enjoy.
Wow, glad you think so Scott 😁 Thanks!
Been going to Ningaloo for years . A garden weed sprayer 6-8 litres with water and quick swim in ocean and spray off works a treat . Lasts for days . Also a bucket of sea water to do the dishes in and small spray bottle of water to rinse dishes also saves a lot of your tank water.👍😊
Hi Brad and Hayley, love your videos!
Can you please do a video of the boat from bag to water? I'm wondering how much room is needed to store it and the process of setting it up. Cheers🍻
Yes! We filmed this recently, it will come out in a few episodes time 😀
Thank guys, both my brother and us are thinking of getting one.
What an amazing experience 😀 glad you persevered with the engine. Keep up the amazing content. Really enjoy your vids

Hey guys, fantastic content. Been an avid viewer for a while now. My bride (37years😉) spends 2-3 days making stews, chicken soups, meat balls, roasts (slices up the meat for sandwiches)etc and cryovac,s them. She usually makes around 30-40 which lasts for weeks. It’s simple to reheat the meal by placing it in a pot of boiling water, then using that hot water to wash your dishes in. Saves heaps of time and really cuts down on the waste/rubbish you have to carry out. We use a portable 12v cryovac unit with reusable bags. Keep up the great work 🤘👍😎
Great tips Jeff & thanks for tuning in mate 👍😀

Hi Guys, love your videos. also like the caravan. Could you please let me know the weights? How heavy is the caravan with all the water tanks full and all your gear in it? Thank you
Hi Olaf, thanks for tuning in! You can build your own van on the Zone RV website which is handy cause it will tell you your tare weight along with price and lead times 🙌 cms.zonerv.com.au/en-au/peregrine
@@our.australia.trip. thanks for the reply, I already checked out the build function at the zone site, was just wondering how much extra weight you carry for the travels you are doing? Included water which is already 300g how much is your food and personal gear weight. Just trying to figure out if my tow limit of 3500kg is enough. Thank you
Oh I see! Depending on your type of travel you can add between 4-600kgs to the tare weight of your van 👍🏼
We are wondering why you Brad call Hayley, Patsy? Is it a nickname?
Yep!
I'm Jealous
