What would be better than “blinding heal” would be “concussive heal”, where Greg would use a mallet and has to hit the person squarely on the forehead to heal.
Everytime he hits its a 1d4 damage but also heals quite a bunch after the damage. Imagine healing Bodger in 1hp and he goes down but immediately gets up stronger because of the heal, would be so funny. Just clobbers someone to heal them lol.
@abhisekbus The Uppercut of Healing. Smash him so hard from below it stands him up.
There is the weapon enchantment "Healing weapon" that heals instead of wounding. And there is an enchantment that heals additionally to the weapon hurting (healing hurts undead)
I had one of these once in a game, and I did a massive hit with it. I managed to heal our dwarf at the cost of one of his legs (not sure of whatever ruleset or whatever we were using). I think he then tinkered up a new leg so it all worked out in the end
Would be equivalent to someone punching a persons chest while doing CPR.

Imagine they never use the quick save scroll. That means that they can use the scroll to duplicate the blodger family hammer, giving one to bodger and one to Aaron, solving the family quarrel.
I think that would send Bodger into an apocalyptic rage!
100% it's going to dissappear. There's no way he is rolling that many times and never getting a nat 1. Unless he uses hero points for the multiple times of nat 1 failing, we will never see it used.
Hahha lol, that would be perfect for Bodger. He should have reduced the damage you get from using the scroll, it's something like 10d8 from recollection, which he seems to have forgotten.
Would be cool if they peeked down and they saw a certain fisherman fighting off a group of orcs

Blinding Heal is one of my favourite parts of VLDL lore
I'm thinking it could be very useful when fighting undead, or any creature that takes damage from positive healing.
Rob worked so hard for these guys (especially Bodger) to continue their adventure that now when they CAN go to Honeywood, they don't take their chances 😂 love it but i kinda wanted to see if that ring from the carnival has arrived (or if they remember about it...) and the corpses in Greg's tavern and stuff

Id love to see an interactive map that shows where characters are at different times throughout the campaign. So you can see the map and where they are but so you can g9 back and see where the party was at any given time along with the other notable characters

I really wish those “behind the screen” things rob does on twitch could be watched on UA-cam. I watch on mobile and the twitch UI sucks on my phone lol. I love all the little facts about stuff rob has prepared like the “hide” in the wall for Baradun that was actually infested with giant rats lol
I'm gonna riot if we don't get to see the subtitles in future videos! I really liked the custom subtitles, it was very entertaining!

From one extreme to another (with a few stops in between) - from the absolute coldest place in Azemin, now to the hottest one. I sure hope they have stocked up for a long wade in a desert. 😅 The ending scene was aboslutely epic!

I continue to be amazed at Rob's intricate storytelling as well as his ability to adapt.
I'm learning how to DM. while I have seen different views around peaking behind the screen, I find the way Rob does it, shows hints and tricks for when you have non-ttrpg players. So thankyou.

When Ben started eating Wotsit I was waiting for Rob to make him do a Con save.
NAT 1 = Dead leading to a side quest to pull Ben from Hell.
2-4 = The demon within gains more control leading to a weakness to Holy damage going forward.
5-15 = Nothing.
16-20 = Gains the ability to eat Wotsit in battle to heal for 1d8.
I legit got chills during the ending schmargenrog bit

Wow, it's amazing how Rob enliven his world! Things just happen, doesn't matter whether the heroes take part in it or not. Many PC games can learn from this
when they were talking about the map pop-up I went and grabbed my cloth map that I got for supporting their kickstarter. 👍

After 22 years, my return to D&D is now set in stone. Thanks to VLDL d&d, I started to look for my 3rd edition game book, 650 pages of handwritten story, character backstories, stats and progress was found, but unfortunately, 80% of the pages had been damaged and the ink faded.
Even found my binder with a xerox version of the player handbook translated to my own language.
Now I've put together a team and myself as DM.
The old campaign ended when I was 16 on a cliffhanger, and the new story is set 22 years after those events.
Maybe our new heroes will meet the lost party, will they find out what happened to the lvl.17 Wizard, Bard/Cleric, Paladin and Rouge.
Thanks VLDL, and most of all, Robert Hartley, for giving me the inspiration to return to Dungeons & Dragons

lol ah yes, the not being prepared for players going to a specific region thing. Been there lol. Always gotta have those couple side quests on hand that can be placed on the map wherever you need them. Buy yourself that extra week of prep 👍🏻😮💨

Each session is multiple episodes.
For instance, all the episodes of them meeting/fighting/killing the two faced gambler was all the same session as this one
The next episode is the start of the next session. Each game session lasts about 6 to 8 episodes.
I love that Robert dropped all these hints about east watch and now that the Countess tells them about the 3rd war they all have a "blank pause...surprised realization...deep remorse..... and oh frick" moment.
