Gloria Griffin was my grandmother. We have lost almost all video and audio of her past performances. Thank you so much for posting this. It will be a great mothers day find for my mother. We are very greatful. Do you have anymore?
Gloria Griffin's testimony wears me out every time I watch this. If she could belt it out like that minus one lung and ultimately near death... those of us who can sing and don't or won't should be shame!
THIS IS AN UNRELEASED dvd so far as I am told... a real treasure. this was given to me by an original caravan member and asked that I post it for her. Be blessed. Elder Rodgers
God does specialize and he can do what is impossible in human eyes. I don't care what other folk say, God can handle even the impossible. He will work it out for his people. It's a piece of cake for God what man can't even figure out.
I truly enjoy Gloria Griffin of the famous Roberta Martin Singers. In this presentation she gives her very all as if she knew of her death which soon followed. Singing and Singers like this are few and far between. Thank you much for this presentation to be shared.
1990s, the number of former Roberta Martin Singers began to dwindle, with the deaths of James Lawrence in 1990, Gloria Griffin, Myrtle Scott, and Robert Anderson in 1995, Norsalus McKissick in 1997, Bessie Folk in the late 1990s, Archie Dennis in 2001, and Eugene Smith on May 9, 2009.
It is so touching when you look at the faces of so many gospel legends that have passed on since this video was done. Precious Memories, how they linger! By the way, Gloria Griffin was one of my favorite singers. I use to love to see her get full and bang on the podium, lean back and wave her hand. Hallelujah!
Thank you for this video post. Tears and shouting hearing this healing music. I come to it time and again. Especially the testimony by Sister Griffin testify. My God, My God heal us and help us to get through this old world just so we can meet up some glad Morning
Let me tell you something....Check me on this. Anytime you pull up a video from the 70's beyond and they mention Roberta Martin or sing one of her songs, everybody starts crying. Clearly she influenced a lot of people and was a great lady. People STILL miss her to this day. (kind of how we are about Thomas Whitfield here in Detroit). It's still a fresh wound that he is gone.
YES YES YES! God does Specialize! The Doctors thought I might have had stomach cancer a while back, and I prayed, and what did God do, he healed me!!!!!
Reverend Rodgers, I have watched this particular video over the last couple years. It never fails to bring tears to my eyes. I know that we still have great gospel singers but oh how I am touched by somebody like Gloria Griffin, Jesse Dixon, the Barrett Sisters and on and on in this video. We serve a Mighty God and these Saints bring that home every time. Thank you
And I have watched this video a hundred times and NEVER saw Rev Craig back there. I grew up just ENAMORED with his singing ability. He coulda been an opera singer or something like that....EASY. He had so much control. Detroit was blessed with some awesome people
Lawd... I'm back again letting Sis. Gloria wear me out! Ushers!....Smelling salts, please... Great God! He has had to **SPECIALIZE**so many times for me! Thank you Jesus, He Has Done For Me What No Other POWER Can Do!!!! Bless the name of Jesus!!!
My father Rev. James Reynolds, Jr. of Chicago, IL used to sing that song and have Commonwealth Baptist Church ROCKIN. Watching this recording brings back those memories. Rest In Peace "Daddy"
Gloria Griffin. I have an album of hers released in the late sixties that I consider to be one of the greatest recordings of gospel music. Thanks for posting!
I love this lady!! I was informed by gospellin that Sister Gloria Griffin is the voice behind "The King Is Coming" record by Rev. Maceo Woods Concert Choir. That song has impacted my life more than I can express. All these years later I finally get to put a face to the voice. Chicago is the blesseEST city in the nation!!! Thank you gospellin for sharing your knowledge, and minjimmierodgers for doing what you both do so very well.
Minister Rodgers thank you so much for this video. Sis. Griffin is a very special woman with a very special message. She personifies the person who has been on their death bed of affliction and prayed and believed and was victorious through her Faith in our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ.
Where were all these videos performed at and how did they get all these people together? Simply amazing!!!! I love it, keep posting more. This takes us back to how it used to be. True Gospel at it's best! Glory be to God!!!!
My Part is the part she sings...Everything...Everything...Everything!!! OMG! I Go in Everytime... (As a matter of Fact... I might just take a 20 sec praise break!) When I think of the goodness of JESUS! MY SOUL, My happy soul, my blessed soul, my thankful soul cries HALLELUJAH! AND I Thank God for Saving Me! Be Blessed People of God! Elder J.K. Rodgers
WHOA....YES, GOD CAN AND I'M A LIVING TESTIMONY...I KNOW ABOUT ILLNESSES THAT WERE TO TAKE ME OUT.....THAT WAS 15YRS AGO....I'M STILL HERE...AND HEALTHY ... GOD IS STILL GOD....THAT'S ALL THAT I KNOW...

When I was a baby I became ill, the doctor gave me one day to live but thanks be to God I'm still here!
