Sound designer + re-mixer for Haar here - it’s a bold move to assert that the film has its dialogue dubbed in with ADR, but not substantiate the claim in any way. You’re both wrong; what the viewer’s hearing is dialogue recorded in sync with the camera. Dialogue editing techniques (that have been common across the industry for 50+ years) were then used in combination with noise reduction to achieve the end result. Whatever level you both believe your 'rudimentary knowledge of the formal tools of film' is at, you need to consider revising it - it’s clearly lacking, in terms of how sound is used in post-production.
Getting the name of the lead actor right would add more credibility to the 'review' and generally, it's painful to listen to as it has a feel of 2 chronically unemployed craft ale-sipping Hackney twats who haven't been laid in the past 6 months. The arrogance is sickening. Still, sadly what I can agree with is that Ben Hecking can't write to save his life and the same can be said about his non -existent directing skills. Seeking out more opportunities as a cinematographer is what he should stick to and his IMDB is a good proof of that.

Fair enough - we really thought it was ADR-ed. Have excised the erroneous claim.

Maybe check with BFI first before you erroneously make assumptions about sound 😂😂😂
