    Discussion is great but I would like to see schematics (drawings) of the plumbing for sump, water changing system, etc. That would be a good supplement to the videos. A drawing is equal to a couple thousand words and organizes special use cases for less mistakes. Keep up the good work.

    Everyone talks about water changes and most automation I see is making up the water in an RODI system. What about removing the water that you will eventually be making up. I end up siphoning it into a 5 gallon bucket and schlep it to a drain. Frankly it’s heavy and a pita. What are best practices for removing the water and then adding it to the tank. My display tank is an overflow variety so do I just pipe right into it or is there some scheme to get it to the sump and then return pump it? Love the videos!

    Your shirt matches your fishies! Thanks for the video. Planning an automated tank build. Love to build electronics myself so will be a great fun project.

    Do a video on all the Roller Mat filter systems out there. Theiling - ClariSea - Bubble Magus. And how to integrate them with apex or other systems. I'm in talks with D-D to run two ClariSea in series, but the 48-hr-no-roll alarm may go off all the time.

    The Neptune Trident is not available to the general public and when it is it will be around $600, plus the Apex is $799.95 or ApexEL $499.95 and a DOS $299.95. It must be nice to be given equipment for free NSI (Neptune Systems Insider). Tell us again how this is a budget built series?

      Who said the trident is running on the budget build?

      The Tank Automation series isn’t a budget build series. We will show gear and techniques from up and down the price range

      Dang, that's not a bad price at all. Still would be nice for anything to be free though.. There are also people like you in every darn hobby and it's pretty annoying. I know I ride MTB bikes and there is always a couple people complaining and ruining the atmosphere.

    At 4:00 you display what looks like a basement sump/fishroom, can I have more info on this? Have you included more images of this setup in other videos?

    Hi, I plan automation of feeding out of a fridge. I could feed live Plankton at night as well as other healthy foods during the day. I would love a video on best setup for it, return and flow pumps, skimmer etc. thanks for your videos

    I'd like you to look at alternatives to Apex / controllers. For example my plan is not to have an auto-top off or an Apex but instead get the Seneye (waiting for the Coral with Alk meansuring), wifi dosing pump (for ATO / Kalkwasser), a couple of cameras (1 for the sump / 1 for display) and some wifi controllable power bars. I can dial in the doser for the ATO to be just below evaporation rate and make adjustments based on Seneye for water level and alk. I can also turn off a heater (which will be on a seperate thermostat) if Seneye tells me the temp is too high. To me this gives me control instead of a controller.
    Anyhow so that kind of thing would be interesting to me ;) By the way I am REALLY loving your livestreams

      How would seneye control anything?

    • @sunnygoold9449
      @sunnygoold9449 5 років тому

      @@jamesparrott2073 Seneye monitors the crucial stuff - automatically testing and alerting you. Then you have wifi powerbars and dosers that you program and adjust. The advantage is it's not a single point of failure like for example all those reefers who may or may not have had an older version of a certain controller that suddenly failed. I think it would be good to learn about different ways to control your tank ;)

      We plan on including products we don’t even sell in our videos unlike the competition to give a fair assessment of options. Short Answer... Yes.

    Honestly I stopped listening about a quarter of the way into this video. I got distracted by the colorful swimming wiggly things in the tank
