- Pelumi Nubi Finally in Lagos After a 68-Day Solo Drive from London
After conquering the vast West Sahara desert and traversing a string of West African countries, Pelumi Nubi, a UK-based Nigerian global traveller and travel content creator has finally arrived in Lagos after completing an epic solo road drive from London. Fueled by a desire to inspire others and showcase the beauty of Africa, Pelumi embarked on this ambitious adventure on January 30th. Her route stretched from England to France, then dipped down to Spain and Morocco.
From there, she traversed the vast West Sahara desert before continuing through Mauritania, Senegal, and a string of West African countries including The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Ghana, Togo, and Benin.
Finally, she reached her ultimate destination - the bustling city of Lagos, Nigeria.

Hello beautiful ladies. I wonder if you could highlight the pains of the Landlords/residents of Urban Prime 2 estate, Ogombo Road, off Abraham Adesanya, Ajah. Wale Ayilara the CEO have sealed off the electric and water plants leaving the children, women and the elderly without light and water for weeks. So, tell me...the Lagos State Governor is giving Pelumi Nubi a house, a car, and money for her travel expenses. Really? This lady, by all accounts, is neither poor nor destitute. She has a house, actually two houses, one in Lagos and London. What about all the those thousands Lagosians who can't afford even one meal or a roof over their over them, who keep "traveling" from place to place, looking a better life. Talk about misplaced proprieties.
It's not misplaced priority, you're just ignorant on this issue. Are you the one who bought her a house in UK and Nigeria? Her parents live in Lagos, she doesn't. She's now a Lagos state tourism ambassador, so it comes with those packages in case you don't know. She's to showcase Lagos to the world using her platform
She is an ambassador. You get those fringe benefits when you represent a brand or a country. In this case, she is promoting Nigeria, Lagos, tourism etc. The BBC and all other foreign media have interviewed her. That’s a free publicity for our tourism sector. So, all she is getting is not out of place at all.

This young lady adventure has actually revealed that Africa continent can be connected to Europe by road of less than 1000 km by circumventing the ocean (London - Paris) and (Tarifa in Spain --Tangier in Morocco). I think we need Afro Euro union to do this linkage however, the European might not be optimistic about the project because it will speed up the rate at which illegal immigrants cross the border. Well-done Pelumi.
