Hello, can I reckon this video an actual bending mechanical test on composite? I want to know how the material deflects when a particular load has been placed on it.

could i parametrize the layers of carbon fiber to study how many would make the best efficiency?

Can I run the simulation as nonlinear (large deflection = On)?

hello sir , ma'am if i use smart crack in ANSYS i need to use either static or fatigue method for crack growth law is there any way to get pari's law value or the critical rate value from Ansys. And if i modal cracked specimen and change the loading condition my result will change too but the maximum stress or load will be same for material so how to find that ? can you please help with this.

is this a dynamic analysis ?? will the results be same, if I perform the same tests in transient structural .??

how to make the support setup geometry?

We suggest you familiarise yourself with SpaceClaim / Ansys Discovery Modeling to create the test geometry as shown on screen in this video.

for the contacts, does the dimensions need to be already defined?

meaning that, before the stack-up, the gap between the surfaces for the composites and the cylinders need to be defined,
