A Prayer for Peace on Earth
What drives a cold self centered heart to be so steely made
As if machine not woman bred such hearts are thus depraved
What pain must lie within its folds to close it’s human veins
To neither flow nor or even feel another person’s pain
What story has invaded thus all conscience and all care
And conquered there that human part to be then found nowhere
What pain is this that sends one thus into such depths to dwell
In arrogance’s quarantine a lonely self made hell
What prompts this space with its foul air to multiply its wrath
Oh miseries crave company along their psycho path
Such is this pain that’s only quenched by nothing shy of Love
Yet once the muscle’s atrophied can’t recognize thereof
What other hearts still pliable might wrench these ones away
From being so deluded by addictions clever sway
What kind of saint could pry the gate that’s chained unto the past
It is not I no matter that my heart is truly vast
What could I do then so to heal my own heart in distress
To make it bigger for to deal with all who so transgress
What Love must I not recognize that I still can’t assist
What hardened knots do still exist in me left to untwist
What prayer since I in but myself am not the wicked's saint
Could I invoke for higher aid more deeply to acquaint
Myself with unconditioned love to reflect back to them
That no more reason would they have to cause all this mayhem
What better time than World War III to learn how to forgive
To claim all of our sovereignty in order for to live
In peace as it’s designed to be why Nature did so birth
This paradise that’s under siege our one and only earth
What mantra could we now recite to aid in our release
For each of us to co-create an everlasting peace
And whether friend or enemy we all will choose to be
In any case we’re all offshoots of but one family tree
A beautiful poetic journey reflecting upon one's soul while living the most difficult incarnation; that is, the one on Earth.
Here's another prayer that I like, recorded last week. It's about a declaration calling out all negative forces walking among us. ua-cam.com/video/HDBEWluqIXI/v-deo.html
Beautiful words, thank you
