I really enjoyed your thought process in general -- but I was blown away by both your stamp and your postcard collection. I've got a little keepsake binder of important cards that were given to me over my lifetime and it has six dividers -- it probably fits into one of your own dividers, and I'd already been considering how full it is!
That was only one box of postcard 😬 I may have to do a "Postcard Tour" video to show my years and year and years of collecting and hoarding. Hahaha. The stamps, eBay is my friend and being able to buy stamps directly online from USPS creates a monster! Postcards are great, receiving mail in general is a treat!
I love your stamp collection! Sadly we don't have as much stamps in Germany and they are wayyy bigger so its hard to fit like 3 on one card :( But I like your dividing style at the cards, I'm gonna do the same with mine now :)
Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed it. My postcards I’ve picked up from all over … over the last 15-17 years. I’ve found them at books shops, pharmacies, and Amazon is always helpful too. Hope you enjoy your own process and many postcards fill your postbox to the brim!
@@keekspostalservice love that you get your post cards from various places. I have always loved collecting them but didn't really collect a ton throughout life because I was never sure what to do with them 🤣 now I have a way to use them! Thank you for sharing.
Hello ! I'm a beginner in postcrossing and I came here to see how I can make one before sent. I dont understant why you put so many stamps? Isn't one enough for mail? or the others are just to decorative?
Hello! I am so glad you are here and you are joining Postcrossing! So, the reason I add so many stamps is because I add enough to equal the amount to mail the postcard/letter. Here is the US, it costs (now) $1.50 to send internationally, so I will add multiples of stamps to make that amount. It is just something I enjoy doing, you by no means have to do this. I like to decorate with stamps is all. Hope this answers your question!
I would love to do this…but wouldn’t even know where to start! Are the stamps different amounts? And that’s why you add so many? And what is the ID and ID sticker for? Intrigued🤔
Hello Jessica! Thank you for watching. The stamps are different amounts, typically if you’re new at sending postcards I say to make it easier on yourself and just get the stamps specific for sending postcards (if you’re US based). It makes it easier and more streamlined to send cards and not make it overwhelming for yourself. The ID and ID sticker is my homemade ones specific to Postcrossing! It’s a platform to send and receive postcards from around the world and they keep track of them with those ID’s.
This is a collection built up over a decade of time… I used to find them at WalMart in the kinda state tourist area - had shot glasses/magnets and such. I also find them at our local pharmacies. Used bookstores have had great packs/boxes. Amazon and Etsy are great places too… have to watch the shipping cost on Etsy but some stores do a minimum but also have a great selection of cards!

@@keekspostalservice hello, thanks for replying! I just signed up for Postcrossing yesterday. Still trying to figure it out, but I am so excited! 😃🤓
Where do you get all your postcards? I can't seem to find them in my local Walmart.
