The original 2014 documentary 'Mending the Line' about WWII soldier Frank Moore who spotted a stream he wanted to flyfish in Normandy in 1944 and finally returned to do it at age 90 is incredible and has an unmatched authenticity and emotion. Not sure that I can watch this construction knowing that is out there.
PTSD is the toll that many servicemen have to pay for serving their country all around the world. War Neurosis is a tragedy.😢
Is the soldier worried about surviving the battle? sad about dead comrades?
the soldier should think about how many innocent civilians he killed so that the US could steal other people's oil,
the soldier should think about the fact that this stolen money did not even go to the US budget, the stolen and bloody money went to the shareholders of oil companies and weapons supply companies,
Hollywood has made another movie commissioned by the Pentagon.
This is going to be a fantastic movie!!
June 9th!! Can’t wait!
I didn’t serve but I can’t wait to see this movie!!
OMG, I can’t wait!
Looks AMAZING!
Those of you that Can't wait to watch this, Just remember the struggle that those of us who served will have.. These films whist great for you are damn painful for us....
aight, I'm going fishing. lol
Yo I was on set at Camp Pendleton, and man that RPG shot was interesting to watch get produced
It is the Chinese philosopher Confucius who said that if you give fish to a man he will never appreciate it. But if you give him a fishing rod, he will fish all his life. A man will appreciate all his life because he is given a fishing rodand that fishing rod means survival .
Cold and Cool
I’m a former marine, when does this come out?
Logan Roy
The "one more trip" happens every time
yea our "one more trip" lost 6 to a catastrophic IED, served our 12months all for the Command Sergeant Major to tell us a month before pack up that we were extended for 3 months...
Christ that looks good.
🙏🙌🤝 to all service men and women
I seriously thought it was dwayne wade at first...lol
I thought the movie was good ! It made me think about my family father and brother who where in combat ww2 & Vietnam i have nephews and friends still suffering from horrific situations ! I personally have reaped the benefits of being born as a American and never joined the service with regrets ! So the least i can do is back them up when they come back into civilian life ! I say Thank you to all who have served I appreciate you !!! I hope you get better if you’re not healthy thanks again !!
Soundtrack?
0:18 if you see this bullet shot blowing dust. its absolutely wrong by physics.
🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿
Lol mehh.. This is one of them background noise movies to play as you fall asleep or if ur bored. Lol
Incorporate bamcis into fly fishing
Saw...Rather heard all I needed when the protagonist is referenced as a soldier
Fishing IS NOT ABOUT fishing. ;)
Helps me
this would be a great movie to watch if you have trouble falling asleep
that’s probably what you were doing, while others went to fight for your freedom. Otherwise, you’d have more respect for this movie.
@@joshuasmith1925 I said what needed to be said, for every serviceman. Glad I’m not the only one who would’ve stood up for the right thing.
@@adamy480 let me get this straight - you believe it's impossible to make a boring movie as long as some of the characters are soldiers? Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding what you're saying
Its a movie that brings awareness about PTSD that many vets go through after a war.....You dont have to like or watch it but be respectful of the sacrifices others make for your freedom. Sometimes its not best to say whatever pops into your head.
I respect soldiers to the grave. But you don't need to have been a soldier to have complex ptsd. Most people only support it if you were it seems.
Logan Roy if his uncle was good to him
Not your standard story, I'll give it a try.
Trailer seems to imply Cox's character will die.
this movie does not look and it frustrating because theres some really good actors in it
". . . And a river runs through it." This actually looks corny as Hell, but it also might be great. Until you've been fly-fishing on a nice wide, slow river in Montana, you haven't lived.
Fast river. Trout don’t like slow water. Unless it’s the dead of winter. They like it fast. It’s cooler, more oxygen. Brings food to them faster. I’m guessing you’ve got fished in Montana only once. I’ve been double hauling and reach casting since 1986. Native Montanan. Actual native.
Typically American democracy
This isn't a bad movie but i got bored watching it
God this looks so bad
Boring
Let me take you by the hand while we go to Trope street ....
Ugh, another PTSD movie. Give me an action movie instead.
I'm a Marine, a son, a father and I spent years away from my home and my family.
Watching this, it hits my gut so hard, it makes me want to cry. There are so many of us with PTSD, so many of us that carry around this pain, so many of us that need that one thing to bring our lives into balance. Be that one thing.
I don't think I will see this movie, as I can tell it will be too painful for me, but it looks well done and I hope it does well.
Thank you for your service...Semper FI.
Those who haven't served like me, despite not being American, will always be in your debt.
I wasn't a soldier or a Marine but a Navy sailor on the USS John C. Stennis. I worked in the nuclear plant for 4 years. I strongly recommend getting involved with the VFW. Being around other vets is extremely helpful. It's therapy and good for all, regardless of your service.
@@johncash5940 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for your service Sir. Prayers for you and all.
