A good friend of mine I had the opportunity to work with was one of the members of this band. He should be on the record. I wish he was still alive today to see this. His passing was a big shock to me. R.I.P Robert C.

@1965des - lol...love the "allowed" comment!!! BUT a correction - Guiness Cavaliers win in 1965 with Lord Melody's "Melody Mas" and again in 1967 with Lord Kitchener's "67"

Hatters my Steel Band from long time. We win with "Ah Coming Home for the Carnival" but they give Desperadoes with "Pan In Harmony". Well I wasn't too Vex because Despers is my band too. But fair is fair. They aint like South Bands.

This is sweet. I would love to hear this with today's recording technology and a lil slower. It could rank with All Stars Woman on the Bass.

this was the year of the same tune....every band played this Tribute to Spree, all except Solo Harmonites who played "No Streakers" by Lord Kitchener. Hatters was something else that year, undoubtedly. Great win by Steve Achaiba.

+edgar c. wilson actually Antillean All Stars was the only band that didn't play 'Trbute To Spree Simon", they opted for Shadow's "Meh Mama Tell Meh Doh Play" and placed 4th. I'm not sure if Harmonites made the final that year though.

Harmonites played No Streakers also by Kitchener . They did not make the final.
