I currently have 10 Panerai in my collection. It is my favourite brand. As similar as they are to each other, especially for a casual observer, they are each unique and meaningful to me in their own way. I still have another half dozen PAM on my acquisition list, so I fully expect the collection to grow!
It is now 5/2023. I am a new Paneristi and bought a Luminor 1950 - PAM1392. The reason is it is a 42. I have a smaller wrist and cannot carry off a 44. It is roughly a 2017-2018 model or whatever has the see thru caseback which is important to me. Don’t know why they switched to a closed one calling it an ‘update.’ I like the vintage look plus it’s just so attractive and distinct, not to mention less expensive. The 392 is also a 42 but a lot thicker. The other reason for getting a used Panerai is my 1392 is pre 2020 where the update downgraded the finishing of the movement and they killed off the hacking seconds.
I own a Pam 005 l get more compliments than my Rolex submariner and my Omega Moonwatch.l love it! If your thinking about buying watch you should look at Panerai brand.
Also have a Sub and a Moonwatch. Never got a compliment on the Sub. I have been wearing the Speedmaster regularly for fifteen years and have received exactly one compliment on it. I recently acquired a Pam 1482, 10 Giorni (10 days) GMT with a starburst blue dial. I have received three compliments in less than a month. People notice that watch.
I think what makes it really difficult is that they had some references that had a change from painted dial to sandwich dial and back. There is no other brand that creates their watches in batches like this, ie 300 pieces here and 1000 there. Normally that's done for limited editions - looking at you, Omega - but then it's very obvious what is special about that edition. With Panerai it is not.
First SBS in the world to wear watches, wow, what a history. And the Decimamas were the first SBS in the world Incredible how people always thinks its other nations until you start listening or reading about history. Love the logo on the back if the SBS lads.

I just made my own "Panerai-style" watch using the ETA/Unitas 6497 movement ($220) and Ebay/China case ($30), Ebay/China dial&hands ($25), with Sapphire crystal ($90) for Total Cost=$365. or... Seagull 6497 copy ($35), case&mineral crystal ($30), dial&hands($30) for Total Cost=$95. then... get a Strap from Panatime for $30. All this gives you 95% the quality of a PAM00111 ($4000) that also uses an ETA/6497 movement. Panerai owners need to be educated on the scam

I still drool over Panerai watches!

I have 7, have you bought any more since you wrote this?

I have the Luminor. It has proven to be tough and durable and on par with both my Doxa and Jenny.
Great video. Just found your channel today and subbed. Still love my 323 which I've kept. Owned around 10 panerai in my life. I love the brand.

I have the PAM111 and it's the same. People seem to love it.
Ya not many videos on Pam..
I trading in my Panerai Pam 005 to a Pam 422 47m its a beast of a watch l love it the size the case back is class...👌

Excellent show you explained it all very well I’m actually going to boil one hopefully thank you
Just started watching, I wonder if Panerai Kampfschwimmer gets mentioned. It usually doesn't.
I prefer the older Radiomir models with an Unitas pocket watch movement, a sandwich dial and a screw down case back.
The 10 day wind gold 43.
Pam radiomir 574!!!
I love that brand 🥰
Cool
Who won the contest? And how can I check?
🙂 Your videos are really nice and helpful.
Hey Misael,
We'll announce the winner on Instagram at 6:00 EST this evening! Thanks for watching.

Panerai, the man's watch. Guys with girly arms will say otherwise.
The Due is a letdown to the marque. Dressed up to look like a traditional Panerai Luminor, it is an imposter and a detriment.
They made as a dress watch
GIVE US CAMERON WEISS
Haha Ian! What do you mean?

I love Panerai. Oops l meant Rolex. Cheers
I think they are ugly but I like them at the same time. Weird, right?
Panerai is only an expansive Fashionwatch without any Quality. Dive-Watches with 30 m waterresistent 😎
Panerai used to be the tool watch of the Italian Navi (Marina Militare) and most of their models have a water resistance of 300 m
@@stevenvandemsky7290 Correct!
You’re a casual 🤡 most have 300m of water resistance like my Pam 0012
Getting confused with 30 bar
Panerai watch is dead....
It’s not lol and many have recently appreciated
But you're here
4 yrs later, still going strong
