Amazing product, thank you so much for showcasing it. To anyone sceptic about this, it really works flawlessly! Been loving it in my CRV
I never write for products but for this one it was exactly like he showed . Thank for sharing your experience.
Glad it helped, I have had it installed over a year now and works flawlessly. Thanks for watching!!
Just installed mine. Huge THANK YOU for your help. Saved me much aggravation.
Great product indeed! Thanks for your support!
Now there needs to be a video on how to install a hitch for bike rack on either a gas powered Honda CRV and the Hybrid versions. No one has made a video that I have seen using either Curt or Draw-Tite.
Called Honda customer service and was informed I could go into the settings and disable the rear camera…thank you 😊
Thanks for a video, can you provide a link where l can purchase it. Thanks
Wow!!!
I like how clean this solution is. Now that you've had yours for a little while, have you run into any issues with this upgrade?
No issues, works perfectly. Have had installed for 30 days now, about 1200 miles. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Thank you Paul, bought idlestop from mikstore idle stop - delivered in 8 days to NY and installed it yesterday. They have nice upgrades for window auto lifters, ordered them too and waiting for delivery. Looking forward for auto folding mirror motors to come up. What's you opinion on throttle booster for CR-V? Good idea to get it on CVT transmission to improve acceleration?
Agree the Mikstore does a nice job. Throttle boosters are fun, but usually wait till after factory warranty expires to start with those type upgrades, but that’s just a personal preference. Thanks for watching and enjoy your upgrades!!
Misleading information.. Got same part , from same store. Not disable start stop function on my 2023 CRV EX-L.
@@vtl707 plz elaborate. It memorizes your action and disables auto stop everytime you start the car within 2 secs. My car doesn’t shut off anymore when I stop. It’s been 8 months
was wondering if its possible that the auto stop after being installed can prevent other functions like recalibrating tire pressure from happening when trying to calibrate
I have not ran into that or any problems and have had installed for 8 months and 10k miles. The hanks for watching!
What if you just kept it unplugged and didn’t add anything? Would that disable it?
waiting for cargo tray.. dash cam and more videos from you why there no tpms in canada version
There is no tpms for US version too. They use different tech to figure put if one of the tires under inflated by comparing how they spin. I have used one from aliexpress (nowadays available on amazon) where you have to put caps on each tire. Batteries last 2 years and easy to replace. They’re called: tire pressure monitoring system
Will this “harnes” work on 2024 CRV EX-L with the “drive mode” selector??
I have applied it on the 2023 EX-L for over a year and no issues. 2024 was unchanged, should work well for you also. Thanks for watching!
Any way to disable that seat belt warning display for front seats and not just back seats?
I guess it would work on the hybrid model?
I do not see anything on their website specifying petro vs hybrid. But if you send them a question, they respond. Thanks for watching!
Do you know if there is a way to make the side-mirrors adjust with the memory seats? I was really disappointed when I learned that it's not the case
A real disappointment, no memory function on the mirrors or power folding mirrors.
So, once you install it and hit the button to turn it off, do you ever have to hit the button again ?
Once you install it, the car starts with the idle stop disabled. So there is nothing you need to do. If you want to enable it, you just hit the button and it turns back on. Thanks for watching!
I just purchased a 2024 it has drive mode the product description says with drive mode but notations on pictures say do not purchase will not fit with drive mode will it work or not?
If you go to the link in the description, then select the one that mentions “23-24 w drive mode”. That should be what comes up from the link and that’s the one shown in video and has worked perfectly for over 18 months now. Thanks for watching!
There is another version out there that has a more complex hookup. Why is this one different? How does it get around the more complex hookup shown by the other one?
I can only speak to this one linked in the description. It works flawlessly now for the 8 months it has been installed. Thanks for watching!
So what will happen if you just turn it off? does it go back on when you restart the car? im talking if i don't install this
Correct, if you don’t install this, you have to manually turn it off each time you start the vehicle. Thanks for watching!
Paul, we’ve had our 2023 CR-V EX-L for a couple of weeks and really like it. I was doing some searching on the subject of this video, it’s great and the answer to the problem, thanks. Obviously this isn’t OEM part and when I went to the milkstreet web site they have other items you’ve installed and made videos of such as the mud guards and the rear seat USB charger but you used OEM for hose items. Any reason you used OEM for those 2 items versus the after market? I haven’t compared prices yet, so assuming the aftermarket are a lower price. Your thoughts on OEM parts versus aftermarket parts? Thanks and again, enjoyed your videos!
Just prefer OEM parts from Honda where available, as they are always well designed typically vs any similar aftermarket part. But costs can easily make you use other options and I do the same at times. Thanks for watching and for the question.
Hey Paul, will this item have any affect on the vehicles warranty? I mentioned this item to a friend of mine and he asked me about that, I had no clue…. Thanks for your help.
@@daledacar3650 that becomes subjective by your dealer, and that assumes a dealer is even looking to see if it is enabled/disabled. If you have an issue that your concerned about, you can always remove it. As you see in the video, it literally takes 2 minutes. I can tell you that after 3+ months, I love it. Thanks for watching!
product looks different now, it's black a rectangle box in the center and very thick
After installing the harness, it permanently disables the auto start/stop. Pressing on or off there will have no effect and no icon would show on off any more.
You should check that you have the right connector for correct vehicle that is linked in the description of the video. It allows the button to continue to work, it simply starts it in the off position when you start the vehicle. The dash display also is not impacted adversely.
Do they carry this item for a 2020 Honda CR-V
They sure do. Go here and select your vehicle year and type from the dropdown. $30 currently. mikstoreph.com/products/civic-2022-auto-stop-disabler-kit?_pos=1&_sid=ad4329973&_ss=r&variant=44162560000250
Hey I'm planning to get this done. I would like to know by doing this, will I be voiding any warranty or will this cause any issue with my dealer in terms of servicing and stuff? Thanks
I am 11k miles in and 11 months of ownership and this has worked perfectly. My dealer has not had any issues either. Thanks for watching!
@@zoomgas2803 thank you for replying boss. What I wanna know is will my dealer give me shit for it and say "hey you shouldn't fiddle with it, now anything else that gets damaged in the car, won't be covered by warranty". That's the thing I need clarification on.
@@ahabib91 if you are concerned about your dealer claiming this against you, remove it prior to taking your car to dealer, it’s a 2 minute changeout. Thanks for watching!
Would this work for a 23 civic?
Different part number for Civic. mikstoreph.com/products/civic-2022-auto-stop-disabler-kit?_pos=1&_sid=ad4329973&_ss=r
I'm afraid if void warranty in the dealership?
Lots of discussion on this topic in the comments from other followers that you can reference. Thanks for watching!
I need to ask a stupid question: What happens if you simply unplug the Start/Stop?
im not sure i understand? doesnt it come preinstalled to start stop? what was the intention of doing this?
It does not change the function or the operation of the button, it just defaults to ‘off’ when you start the car. Thanks for watching!
Do you know does making this mod void the warranty?
It becomes subjective by your dealer, and that assumes a dealer is even looking to see if it is enabled/disabled. If you have an issue that your concerned about, you can always remove it. As you see in the video, it literally takes 2 minutes. I can tell you that after 15+ months, I love it. Thanks for watching!
@@zoomgas2803 thanks so much you're wonderful for posting and replying back!
I was told by my Honda dealer that such devices will void the manufacturer warranty the moment one of these are discovered on the car. True or False??
Read through the comments, lots of opinions. Bottom line is if you are uncomfortable, then remove it before you take it to the dealer, it takes less than a minute. Thanks for watching!
Just got a 2023 Honda CRV and every time I back up the car stops itself not too aggravating. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.
Since you just got it, I assume it is used, so have you installed this or any other devices?
@@Cream1968That sounds like maybe you have something w the Reverse sensor, that is triggering that. As the car turns the camera/screen on and other functionality, once it is in Reverse, something must be interfering with that to create this issue. Have you checked it with a code reader to make sure you don’t have something else that this happens to trigger?
Is this work in 2022 model?
All Honda’s for the last decade plus are very similar, ie. behind the glove box. The size of the filter does vary based on model. Thanks for watching!
Why would you permanently disable it? I thought it was supposed to save on gas or something 🤔. I could be wrong...
It is not permanently disabled, when the vehicle starts it is off, but the button is 100% functional and can be turned on, the exact same way it can be turned off. So this device just changes the default to off vs on. Thanks for watching!
I don't get it. Why would you wanna disable the Idle-Stop feature if its there to maximize fuel efficiency?
That idle stop feature is not good for the engine or the starter in the longrun if u want to keep your car for many years
I'm confused? What's the point of this when you can turn it off by pressing the button?
Many owners prefer for the default to be off rather than get to a stoplight and have the engine kick off and then remember to turn it off. So for those with that preference it is a very useful, easy, low cost solution. Thanks for watching!
@ZoomGas I haven't tried yet but without the install, if I turn it off, will it turn back on again if I restart the car or does it remain off? I think this will be useful for that case.
@@Michael-rq8zj correct. Without it, it is on each time you start the car. Thanks for watching!
@@zoomgas2803 well then now I know I need this! Thanks! Will you be making a video on how to place a dash cam front and rear? I am not sure how hide the cables. I watched other videos but they're not for a Honda crv 2023.
@@Michael-rq8zj I don’t currently have that one planned, but always looking for ideas :)
What is that ?
It sets the automatic idle stop default to “off” when you start the vehicle. Still can turn it on/off as you please. Thanks for watching!
Not for Hybrid lol
Biggest problem is , it’s not for a 2023 crv , 2022 , maybe….
The part I have in the description is definitely for the 2023. Select it from the drop down on that page. Thanks for watching!
Does this part work for the 2024 CRV EXL model? Also, are you having any issues at the moment because you changed it yet?
Can't you just turn it off.??
Yes, you can manually turn it off, but this saves you from having to remember to turn it off. Both accomplish the same, so it’s upto personal preference. Thanks for watching!
Honda show make it that we don't have to turn it off everytime we turn on the car; but for now this works great thank you for the video
It's not really a difficult "task" to push the defeat button after you crank it up, right after you put on your seat belt just reach down and poke the little button. C'mon, I know you can do it.
Take 2 minutes to install this and never touch it again. Problem solved.
Just got it, opened it, saw all in Japanese instructions. Got your video to get it done. Very simple, works well, Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
