It's been 9 months so I don't know if you still want the question answered but the reason the fanartists give Prussia a flute is because Frederick the Great (King of Prussia, nicknamed Old Fritz both irl and in the anime) was a musician who played the flute. He composed a heck lot of sonatas for the flute and he's listed as one of Prussia's 'likes'

Okay so I’ve heard stuff and seen fanart which leads me to the following question: Does Prussia play the flute?

It's been 9 months so I don't know if you still want the question answered but the reason the fanartists give Prussia a flute is because Frederick the Great (King of Prussia, nicknamed Old Fritz both irl and in the anime) was a musician who played the flute. He composed a heck lot of sonatas for the flute and he's listed as one of Prussia's 'likes'

Well, if the piano were louder it would probably overpower the flute. And the flute is playing the melody part of the cover.
