In the 90's this was shown in my country at 1am, catching it late night made it feel special.
It was shot here and it was still on at 1 am lol. I loved this show so much❤️
@@delukard07 9pm maybe for usa on usa network maybe if memory serves time wise channel wise I know I am right.
I loved this series. The concept was so cool and original. A vampire who looked for redemption as a cop.
I know right this show inspired many other vampire cop/ detective looking for redemption shows like Angel , Moonlight , Blood Ties and many more
@@roderick8167so many ppl don't even know about this old gem it's tragic! 😢
My dad got hooked on this show, and he was,nt into goth, vampire stuff.but, the show, shared are last name "knight.".😮
This was one of my favorite shows, I miss it so much. It was well written, the lead character, Nick Knight was the classic dark hero, which I love. I was sad when this show went off the air, it was one of the great ones aside from Dark Shadows.
Bring this show BACK TO LIFE! (they seriously need to start this show back up)
@@mr.mediocregamer9653 it wss called Moonlight.. Angel was a spin off Buffy I hardly call that a reboot to Forever Knight.
@@AccidentalPreppper it was literally the exact same premise. But I think so was Moonlight
Moonlight was pretty much the reboot of Forever Knight. It was okay in its own way but not nearly as good as the original.
Very underrated series.
I used to watch this with my mom when I was little on SYFY, and she kickstarted a love for vampires that I've had ever since. I miss her and this show.
I just love Nigel's narration in this. One of the best TV intros...EVER!!
This was in a time when Vampires where respected, fear and when the sun arrives they never sparkle but burn!
Wow. The 90's had some wonderful shows, This was one of the. Memories.
this brings me a lotta good memories back
“He was brought across in 1228. Preyed on humans for their blood. Now, he wants to be mortal again. To repay society for his sins. To emerge from his world of darkness. From his endless FOREVER KNIGHT!”
I don't need to miss this show I have all 3 seasons on dvd
I grew up with this show! It was amazing :D
*Far* too short-lived. Perhaps it made the mistake of stepping out into sunlight. ;-)
Mitzi's Mom ikr but this other shows they have is vampire dairies and originals
Fun fact: The entire cast read the narrative for the opening. They used the best one - Nigel Bennett aka Lucien Lacroix!
this show was awesome!! I was like 8 the OG of vampire shows☺
it actually aired on USA after CBS...
the show also had a great composer too (fred mollin) who also did friday the 13th the series music as well.. ahh good old CBS latenight in the 90s lots of good stuff to watch in the wee hours
The fact that they could fly also made it one of the best vamp shows ever
How I love this show. Brings me back.
So Epic and timeless. This was must see TV!
I miss this show.
I'm a Hardcore vampire fan and Forever Knight, True Blood, Tales From The Crypt: Bordello Of Blood and Bram Stoker's Dracula were my favorite vampire movies and TV shows!
This was, is and always will be the best vampire show ever to hit television. i love this show!
i LOVED this show! hes soo handsome!
Used to watch this on CBS (WTVR-Channel 6 / Richmond, Virginia) at 11:30 pm during "Crimetime after Primetime" back in the early to mid 1990s. Monday - Tropical Heat;Tuesday - Forever Knight; Wednesday - Dangerous Curves;Thursday - Silk Stalkings;Friday - Dark Justice
I have such a crush on Mitzi Kapture from Silk Stalkings. Plus Dark Justice was flipping awesome.
It was a bit better than some of the Primetime shows. The writing was ace.
Best series ever on television....
I miss this show
Now THIS is from when vampires were cool. Such a great show.
This is the _only_ television series I watched in the 90s. I could not get enough of it. There's something about Nick and the way he struggles with his nature and how he relates to LaCroix that makes this a fascinating morality play across centuries. I grieved as for the death of friends when the series was cancelled and the last episode was crushing - and so poignant. Everyone in Forever Knight was excellent and they had something special going on there. I'll always love this show.
This Show is what got me into Vampires real ones of course.
there was a marathon of this show back on the first friday of october 2013 on the sci-fi channel did anyone else see this?
Back when film could make a good vampire story.
still moving on the magic box yes, but google a film to a TV series different things, And you shouldn't have to google it anyway as common sense a film can't do different plots once a week
mikey p Dude it's not a big deal. I know the difference. Basically what I was saying is that this show took place when writers in entertainment could write a traditional, well-done vampire story. Not this True Blood/Twilight shit that goes on today.
Syphon Filter Yea agree with you on that, They don't Vampire films or TV shows like they used to
loved this show, sure wish some cable channel would air it again. The intro was one of the best things about it, got you excited about the episode getting ready to air. What a job Nigel Bennett did to narrate the opening intro!
Miss this show!
This is the best show of all time.
Damn I miss this show.
My fave vampire primetime in d '90s. 3:)
I love this series so much. I think it was Idol for Angel.
With all the craze about vampires on television you would think that they would rerun this series. So much better than the current stuff.
Every time I hear the narration, and the bit about emerging from the "World of darkness", the other World of Darkness comes to my mind. And there are a bunch of similarities between them. Like, I remember an episode when someone was going to spill the beans on vamps, and other vamps were sent to take care of things. That's just what the Camarilla would do.
This would definitely make a great ringtone for our cell phones. This here, forever night was a different type of show. Well let me see, you have a vampire that sleeps all day and at night time he becomes a detective. I guarantee you would never see a show like this today, you would only see this type of a show back in the 1990s. You did had a few good TV shows throughout the 1990s, some of them stayed on in other ones did not.
It's the way it was throughout those years, however I think that forever night should have had stayed on longer than it did and it should had a lot more episodes too
it took me less than 3 seconds to remember this series from absolute nothing, i was 10 years old when this series debuted and yes i did see it when it first debuted... with a title like Forever Knight, you are going to watch at least some of it out of sheer curiosity
how'd i first remember this series, cause i found out the same guy who did "My Secret Identity" theme did this one too, and here i am
I love this series! :-D
this show was fantastic, it continued on USA for at least 1 or two more season..
Oh yeah, on CBS back in 92-96. It used to air before "Highlander: The Series: here on Saturday nights at 12:30 am. All three seasons are on DVD here too. :)
Crimetime After Prime: That was a short lived CBS late night block of shows that would air after the 11pm local news. Forever Knight would air on late Tuesday nights at about 12:35am.
Loved this show!!!
I’ve always loved vampire shows growing up
Best Vampire TV show, EVER!
BEST VAMPIRE SERIES EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wasn't allowed to watch this as a child but I loved the theme song and would hum along from my bed 🤣
just watched the first 2 episodes of forever knight. and of course it was like watching the rick springfield version..only to my surprise, this was much more better. they really did an amazing job on this series.
this was a great and well done show. i wish that the sci-fi channel would re-air past episodes.
Have all three seasons of forever knight on dvd...will binge watch tonight on my DVD player....better than the twilight movies....
I think of all the fusion vampire/modern era shows/movies/culture this is not only the progenitor, the archetype but also the best by a cosmic mile. Even True Blood which isn't without it's strong points (as well as numerous negatives) cannot approach the brooding atmospherics that so effortlessly permeates this show.
I cannot tell you what quality hits so well, but watching these credits roll at 11:00p.m. on a Saturday night was very epic and got my blood pumping - for a vampire out to find redemption. Like the opening credits for The Incredible Hulk TV series or The Six Million Dollar Man, they gave you the solid backstory so you could 'jump in' immediately.
But it was conflicted. You have to appease the "Love Vampires Club" AND say "they need redemption"; It needed more budget & broader canvas to succeed.
There's an edited version. Shortened and abbreviated opening they started using for season two. It's tighter and has more impact.
Of course it is I always watched forever knight
my favorite of all series!
The best cop show I liked so far
Got the box set of 3 series . Watch it over and over
I remember this show like it was yesterday, I loved this show. I need the DVD.
"Forever Knight" was a Canadian show and all the actors (apart from Nigel Bennett who played LaCroix who is British) are Canadian. I loved it, but never got to see all the episodes, as it was on UK TV on cable only. You can now buy the complete DVD of all the episodes. It has a big cult following in Canada, but I think all the people who are into "Twilight" should see the real vampire suspense that "Forever Knight" did so well.
I so agree with you. This show also had a cult following in the US as well as Canada and Britain. And BTW, the actor who played Vachon was from the USA
@unacomn
That is what I thought too, in fact around the same time I was getting into Forever Knight I was getting into Vampire: the Masquerade as well.
BEFORE ANGEL AND SPIKE, Forever Night (1992-1996). Stick it, Josh Whedon!
As a kid I never watch or heard of this show I didn't know it even existed.
The Era Of Syndication was off the charts. The syndicated shows were doing better then the prime time shows. Watch this after midnight. The intro alone will make you ran to the bathroom.
I remember this show and I remember it being very cheesy even when I was 13. I had no idea there were 3 seasons. But as cheesy as this show could be, it is better that the vampire stuff being shoveled at us these days. The show I miss from the early 90's was War of the Worlds. That show made me afraid of dark rooms in my basement lol.
Joss Whedon (Angel) and whomever created that show "Moonlight" should have been paid FK's producers royalties for using their premise.
it was here. both on cbs and sci-fi
This show was the shizznit!!! The relationship between Nick and Lacroix was intense love/hate... Going to watch the final episode tonight after football...
great 😃👍 show great vampires
Well, whatever it was it really gave me goosebumps up my spine when i was little especially the background music. But since it was Canadian, probably not! XD
@cyclopstb Season 1, Episode 5, Dance by the Light of the Moon, see it on Hulu.com
amaba esta serie
They need to bring this back. But most likely if they remake this, they'll turn Nick Knight into a daywalker.
amaba esta serie de culto tremendo programa un policia vampiro que daba miedo
He was brought across in 1228!! Now that folks if freakin ancient. Older yet is the fossil who "brought" him over to immortality.
Best music
This used to scare the hell out of me when i was a kid
Has anybody noticed that both Forever Knight and Angel use cellos in their theme songs? Besides that this show was so awesome,so much better than that Twilight garbage.
I see where Joss Whedon got his inspiration.
Talk about putting fear in a 9 year old....watching this on a Friday night.
This show is responsible for me reallt getting into vampires when i was a kid
Anne Rice got me hooked on vampires when her first novel came out in 1976.
Love it 😀 😍
im a kid of the 90s when vampire shows were cool instead of gay ass vampire diaries and twilight, this show brings me back i loved this show
i miss this show alot it its up there with True Blood Buffy and Angel see folks they,re are good vamp shows
Man I loved this show, I was super young when it was on, but I can tell right now I liked the OTHER opening better. The alternate opening was basically very similiar, but it was a little pithy and edited together tighter. Anyone else know what I'm saying?
This was Angel before Angel
Before there was Twilight, True Blood and Vampire Diaries there was Forever Knight.
Those Twilight movies sucked....thankfully they didn't make it a tv show lol
I would like to see a newer version of this.
Have you seen the new story trailer for Vampyr? Reminds me of this, or maybe the feeling I'd get when I was watching it once upon a time?
There is a website called Project Free TV and you can watch each episode on there, mostly in good quality.
this waz d 1st vampire show i know it use to scare the shit out of me man but i still watched
Yes. I agree.
And one episode winked at Anne Rice's books!
I grew up on this show but it's so old fashioned
this show is fucking awesome!!
This was a big hit show late night on CBS Pre-David Letterman maybe when Dave retires they should go back to showing old shows like this or maybe they could put this on in 2011 to fill the vacancy to be left by Oprah Winfrey's departure from late afternoon tv.
still better then TWILIGHT.
way
hell yeah
Screw Twilight.
Daylight vampires are so cheesy. :-p
*FAR better!* :-)
