- Probably my most eccentric "out there" project yet...
After taking Wyatt to Disneyland and seeing how much he loved riding roller coasters at the ripe age of 3, I decided to build him his own at our place. If the neighbors could see, they'd definitely think I was nuts.
Thank you to my wonderful wife Brittany for being so supportive of my crazy projects. Thank you Wyatt, for letting me be a kid again. Your smiles are worth all of the injuries and 4-letter expletives that go along with projects like this. I'd also like to thank Paul Gregg for his help.

Thank you! The track was built from PVC conduit and 2x4s from the local hardware store. The cart was welded together out of steel.

(PS - Is an electric motor/chain in the works so you don't have to pull him up to the top every time?)
Twister, no chain drive for this one. A chain drive would probably cost about $1,000 to set up, but more importantly than that, it could be dangerous. Motors/gears/chains that strong with that much power could also be very dangerous to kids. Also, no chain drive means adult supervision is always required. It would be cool, but probably isn't in the cards for this one.
Scott - Well, I guess safety has to come first. CinCHouse would say that for sure. Think of it this way, then....you could consider having to constantly push your son up over the hump as part of your Navy-mandated PT! Fly safe!
