Dan dancing to "I am han solo" on "Kinect Star Wars" was not something I expected to see this year... nor any other year for that matter. But I am glad it happened
Not the worst note to leave on. This game isn't THAT bad. Could've ended in a worse game. Plus it's not like Kinect Star Wars was a major project. Lucas Arts had more things cooking with this just being a side project until Disney came in and forced shut down and canceled all the projects.
I remember there was so much marketing for this game back in the day. I feel like of all connect games this was on the one they really wanted to be a big hit.
"I feel like I'm playing a tech demo." - this is what everyone thought every time anyone used any of the following: EyeToy (PS2), Kinect (360 and One), PSEye (PS3), Move (PS3) Basically anything that isn't Nintendo feels like a tech demo, because only Nintendo put any actual effort into developing and testing and refining non-traditional controls. The WiiMote, Switch JoyCons, and 3DS gyro controls, are all very well developed.
Well the Virtual Boy and Power Glove are a good example of Nintendo's non-traditional systems that didn't do well. I also recall that the first version of the Wiimote had a lot of criticism around launch for not being as good at tracking motion as was advertised (my own limited experiences were like that). A lot of that required the Motion Plus to help, and later Wiimotes had it integrated. Then there's the WiiU, which had it's own issues with the integrated tablet in the controller, which was the novel new feature for that generation. Nintendo does tend to get more hits than misses with their more unique controller ideas, but they're not all well developed at launch. I do agree that the other companies did overall have much worse time trying to have their own gimmick control systems work.
Though tbf Lucas was trying to get at by the time of The Clone Wars the Jedi were betraying what their Order was supposed to be about as they were being turned into fighting machines for a meaninglessness war. So maybe it is George's vision actually.
i used to play this game when i younger holding a toy lightsaber (thing was as big as a freaking longsword though lol) could've been confirmation bias back then combined with just childhood memory now but i remember it helping with the jankiness a bit and made movement feel more natural
Remember when star wars came out with banger titles for the video games Like force unleashed, loved thst game to bits, played it so much I bugged the game into giving me infinite hp and force power when the game refused to level me up any more
What's the music at the beginning of the vod? I wish he'd add a now playing spot to the starting soon scene. It's a banger and I would like to add it to my own playlists
Lol, as soon as I type this out and scroll back up I see a comment from Twitchchat saying how they love this remix of "Stickerbush Symphony". Donkey Kong Country series has some seriously good music

For anyone wondering, the "napoleon dynamite song" is Canned Heat by Jamiroquai
Fun fact, this was the last game developed by Lucas arts gaming studio before Disney closed them down.

I literally remember watching ads for this like it was yesterday its weird and yea the amount of marketing was insane
If Daniel stood in front of his door completely motionless, he would have merged into his surroundings and we wouldn't even know
"What year is this set in?"
"2012"
Is an unintentional banger joke

@@nakedstatue8517Drift is a thing in all controllers.
@@KingNedya No
@@nakedstatue8517 It is, I've had to replace multiple PlayStation controllers due to drift.
A Mortal Kombat "FINISH HIM!" announcement whenever you're about to beat an opponent in training doesn't feel super "The Jedi Way" ngl.

Dan sitting on the ground begging the xbox to listen had me rolling omg
I have so much nostalgia for this game. Can't wait for him to get to the Disney one
I see RT has mastered the General Grievous School of Lightsabers Combat 😂.
Looking forward to the Eye Toy streams
Dan was really hitting those moves

Star Wars: The Jump Strikes Back

this reminds me of the wii remote and its motion tracking in zelda games
Oh my god I remember this game
I have a question if someone could answer this for me, so why is the vod not censored but the UA-cam video is for the DMCA and stuff
The main channel is higher stakes, I guess.
what confuses me is I remember the jump working really well but then again I was in 1st grade and it was like 2009
I actually used to love this game.
I remember people using their shitty Kinect Mics to chat on xbox
