Can you please talk about how you are able to keep your hair moisturized and bouncy the whole week. I wear a durag but after the first day most of my hair becomes dry and stiff.

Yo can I ask you a question. So i'm growing my hair out. what should I do if my hair is rlly dry and i need lots of moisture? should I wash my hair everyday or not?
I actually have the same problem, my hair gets dry too.
it depends on what type of hair u have but generally it’s a really bad idea to wash everyday, bc shampoo is stripping. if you have type 4 hair, focus on deep conditioning (make sure to detangle with the deep conditioner in), put on a plastic bag or shower cap, and if your hair is low porosity maybe apply some heat (a hair dryer, heated bonnet, or steam without a cap or plastic bag). also, generally use more conditioner than you use shampoo (but again, this depends on your hair type). don’t overcondition or over shampoo though, as this may cause hydral fatigue (which basically means too much water for your hair). make sure you put in a leave in conditioner after washing your hair, and if your hair loses moisture easily (high porosity) you might want to seal it with an oil. try to wet your hair everyday with a spray bottle, not too much, just a little. if it needs a refresh, maybe add a spray leave in too. there’s a lot more that goes into this but it really just all depends on what type of hair you have but this stuff mostly works for everyone.
if your hair is really really in need of a moisture boost in the middle of the week u can always cowash which basically means cleansing your hair with a cleansing conditioner instead of a shampoo, so it doesn’t get stripped, and repeat your normal wash day routine
