We tested the Ultra HDR of the Pixel 8 Pro, however our evaluations were run using an SDR visualization workflow. This is due to the fact that Ultra HDR is a very new Android format, and we are still investigating the most appropriate HDR visualization tools to enable a fair in-depth comparison. Because viewing HDR content depends on so many factors, such as the viewer’s screen and the application used, the photos displayed in this test results summary are shown in SDR, meaning they do not have the HDR gain map applied. Even viewers with HDR screens will only be able to see SDR versions of the photos.

When I compared the iPhone and Pixel at a store, it was the Pixel that looked better, including text. The telephoto shot was also better on the Pixel. What is the reason for the score being lower than the iPhone? I would appreciate it if you could let me know. I would like to use this as a reference when purchasing.
You can't use telephoto yo take portraits and video is 10 points ahead on the iPhone
They used ultra HDR mode on iphone but not on pixel (UA-cam only shows SDR)

samsang s24 ultra test
They took the photo of the woman at 2:45 with the iPhone from way closer, and then they say that the Pixel 8 Pro has "OCCASIONAL LOSS OF FINE DETAIL". While from the same distance it takes way more detailed pictures, especially with the 50MP option on. Noone should take DXOMARK seriously. 👎👎👎
