- Forestry Tool for skid steer! The Baumalight DSA articulating tree saw is an unbelievable tool that attaches to the front of a skid steer. In this video, we link the tool up with our Kubota SVL 97-2 skid steer and put the high flow to work. Baumalight offers tractor tree saw models, but this tool has an articulating head with 3/4" steel saw blade and hardened carbide teeth to eat through even the toughest tree. Made specifically for skid steers, this tool can cut high to reach limbs making it the easiest way ever to prune hard to reach limbs.

Baumalight is Canadian
Square (Robertson) drive is Canadian
So their use of Square drive is to be expected.
Square drive can take more torque before the driver cams out, so if that is how they invade us, I welcome it.

I was wondering if the bush cutter by the same company would it work on the front of your skid steer if so you would not have to use it on the tractor an drive in reverse just a thought

You expressed hesitation running the saw too deep in the ground, I'll take this opportunity to point out it's similarities to the same brands stump grinder, just being at a different angle ...
The instructions are pretty adamant about avoiding rocks and the ground early on, that and just being new to the equipment took it slow. Getting the hang of it and will share soon!!!
Does the head rotate left and right? So you can cut without stuff flying back at you...

low feed rate on 1-2" diameter branches, a whole lot of blade spinning.
I was still learning the machine. It will take a tree down pretty easily. Just taking it slow and taking the audience with me as I learn. I'll get better!
