Why diode is called a non linear device? As we all know diode: a non linear semiconductor device that is used to conduct the current in only one direction. Its the basic circuit element in electronics (where we study the controlled motion of electrons). It is designed using two semiconductor materials: p-type and n-type. The junction where these two material intersect is called the pn junction. The other name of pn junction is depletion region as it is depleted of free electrons.

2:23 in the given figure, at the N termila how potential is 5 as their is resistance R present to at N Ntermila potential should be different.
Yea you are right but for the analysis we assume negligible voltage drop across the resistor or you can say we just neglect it ...because here our main goal is to understand when it is forward biased or reverse biased. But of course for the complete analysis we will consider potential drop across each element in the circuit. I hope you got my point
Amazing teaching thxxxxx aaaa lotttt❤❤❤❤

Mam it was my exact question, wow excellent 👍

Mam if anode to cathode is negative than is reverse biased?
Yes always

Thank you ma'am
Maam resistor ke through potential drop nahi hoga ?
At what point of video ?
omg thank you so muchhh
Thank you mam🥺❤️
Ma'am what if the potential is zero
Means potential at anode minus potential at cathode is zero
When A-k=0, it is less than the required barrier potential 0.7v or 0.3V, so diode will not be forward biased. It will not conduct.
Mam samjh to aa gya par thoda hindi use kar lete to thoda sahi rhta 😅
Mam aap kaha se ho ??🤔
