Marcus is right. We had a year or more between seasons to digest and re watch. Its not easy to catch everything on the first watch. This is why we love GOT. This is why it's on another level.
There are even things I only realised by watching reaction videos. lol The passion for the show make realise some many things by watching tons of stuff
The highlights of the video is obviously the "Targeryan alone in the world" bit. No. 2 is the part where Robert says "she belonged with me" in front of the statue and Ned's face suddenly droop down in the background, like he's ashamed. No. 3 is when Ned says "you can't get your hands on this one" and protesting about "murdering a child", but the whole time he's really referring to Jon. No. 4 is Littlefinger giving that ironic stare when Sansa says "he kidnapped and r**ed her" and No. 5 is the tone change when they shift to Essos and Barristan starts telling the "he loved to sing" story. It's the perfect juxtaposition of reality vs the reality written by winners.
There are many yt videos about Got lore, they are interesting and could help her to understand better all those characters and names she lost during the show
It is pretty difficult for a UA-cam video to gain the kind of popularity that the show of Game of Thrones already had. Is this might as well be cannon for the whole story Like HBO could have made this video themselves and not done half as good a job. There are 2 parts in it that give me chills no matter how many times I see it. The 1st one is Maester Aemon Saying a targaryan alone in the world Is a terrible thing and literally at that exact moment Jon snow walks in the Room. But the biggest one that gets me is the scene in the crypt with sansa and littlefinger. That little knowing smile that he gives when she mentions that Rheagar kidnapped and raped her aunt.............holy shit........best scene ever! Why is something so small so exciting?
Ok Caroline finally realized Robert is not the Mad King. Now you gotta slowly tell her that the Mad King was a Targeryan and he was Dany's father. Mind Blown. Then you gotta tell her even more slowly and gently that Rhaeger was the Mad King's eldest son. Robert and Rhaeger had the hots for the same chick. Nah on second thoughts leave the last sentence out for later, you might be confusing her too much.
Friend : He's half Stark half Targaryen! Me : BUT it still doesn't answer why Robert would want to kill baby Jon. Even if Jon's parents' relation was consensual, they still ran away and Jon was born out of wedlock. He's still a bastard... Friend : Right. Bastards can't be king. He's not a threat to the throne. Me : Well Joffrey got rid of the bastards. Friend : Robert's not the type who would commit cruelty just for cruelty's sake without a purpose. Me : True. But is there something that would make sure Robert would want to get rid of Jon? Friend : IF Jon wasn't an illegitimate child!! Me : Bingo. But the real question can wights be king?🤣🤣🤣🤣
@SLUTPUPPY Right. That's very true. But maybe there's a chance Ned could've dissuaded him because it was said Robert felt ashamed when the bodies of the Targeryan children wers laid out at his feet. So I kinda go back and forth with myself that maybe Robert would've listened to sense if Ned was as forceful as he was about Dany. But you're most likely right, he probably still would've killed Jon.
Robert hated Rhaegar personally though - Rhaegar was his rival for Lyanna. Even if he'd thought Jon was a bastard, he might have wanted to eliminate the living proof that Lyanna had preferred Rhaegar - like Jaime said to Catelyn when they thought he was Ned's child - "How could you not hate him? The walking, talking reminder..."
Love Caroline! I don't blame her one bit for being confused. It's hard enough to keep track of the characters who are actually depicted in the show, but when you add in so many characters who only exist in the past it becomes twice as confusing.
Never trust anything Littlefinger says! And Rhaegar wasn't the likable Prince that everyone thought he was. He was obsessed with prophecies. He had no friends as a child, the first one, Ser Arthur Dayne at age 17! He conspired to overthrow his father at Harrenhall, as he did not expect the Mad King to be there. He was really quite nefarious in his machinations, believing that the prophecy of the "3 headed Dragon" meant that he had to have a third child and Ellia Martell couldn't give him another one. Lyanna Stark was most likely "The Mystery Knight" at Harrenhall was Lyanna and he most certainly had picked out Lyanna before the tourney and she went willingly! Anyway their secret marriage was confirmed.
Why do extroverts always assume introverts are assholes? Y'all have some serious insecurity issues. Rhaegar was basically a nerd. He only took up tourney because he realized a king has to be good at fighting. He only wanted to remove Aerys from the throne because Aerys was crazy. LOTS of people liked him, though, and there were plenty still bitter about Rhaegar's death by the time Ned was executed in King's Landing.
Thats a lot of projection for a character who has maybe a minute of screentime. The point of the R+L=J video other than Jons parentage is the two narratives about what kind of a person Rhaegar was. Robert probably started the rapist narrative while the other adults either reject it completely or express their doubts when someone spouts off about the lie. Its worse in the books, Ned, Cersei and others poke holes in the idea that Rhaegar was a bad person, misguided definitely but not bad.
It’s too bad he couldn’t have let Katlin in on it but I don’t think she could have kept the secret or played her part well enough to sell the story. Her feelings of betrayal had to be real .
I don't think she would have ever said anything, but her attitude alone would have given it away. It was unusual as it was for a high lord's bastard to grow up in the high lord's household. To have the wronged wife be affectionate toward the child too? Nah. Someone would have figured out something was up. I bet Benjen knew, though. I bet that's why he went to the Wall.
You wanted it ! lol Sorry to all the Caroline fans out there, we still love her, just a little less than before.
She looked so lost lol it’s all good tho 💯
Do some history and lore!!!
@@aegon1targaryen208 yes history and lore! Caroline's second watch through, if she chooses to do one, will be so fun for her.
@@gotnissa True, idk I feel like they’ll enjoy it. Especially Aegons Conquest, and Roberts rebellion.
ha no worries still in Carolines corner she despised the high sparrow from the jump
ah ha ha

I think the biggest confusion for Caroline is how there's two stories about Raeghar, and the vilified version is easy to link to this "mad king".
Yayyyy!!! Ned , sacrificed his honor twice, to do what was right!!!

Still gives me chills 😊
Game of Thrones is such aa beautiful and masterfully crafted story. High Art.
THANKS SO MUCH for watching!! smoke a joint for my friends!
Jon’s the song of ice and fire 💗 I could cry watching this video I have before lol
And now you need to do a "Honest Trailer Game of Thrones" react ;) if you havent seen it before
There are many yt videos about Got lore, they are interesting and could help her to understand better all those characters and names she lost during the show
Caroline's face lol we love her anyway :)
Here we go!
I love you guys

Just for context, currently in the books, Jon was killed and his lineage has not been revealed yet. The first book was released in 1996.
Love y’all!! 🔥🍁💨💯😎
hahaha Caroline's still a legend.
Did or would y'all watch Cold play's GoT: The Musical? Pretty funny! It was a Red Nose Day bit.
But they were married in the secret ceremony. Dunno if that is an addition by the tv series but that makes Jon the legal heir to the throne.

Mad King is also Jon Snow's grandfather and Dany is Jon's aunt.

Robert would've killed Jon just because he was rejected by his mother. He didn't really love Lyanna.. he wanted her.

@@Silver_Owl I agree with eveyrthing you said.
LPT: watch shows with the subtitles on. I learned this watching the Sopranos. It was a clusterfuck until I turned on the subtitles.

Y’all should read the books . I’m currently on the third book
Did Carolyn ever graduate from being a sweet summer child? 😂
Wait. Why did you download it? Does your home not have wifi?
