I'm 58 and found them in 91 and for some reason it's been like28 years since I listened to them. I just spotify 1 month ago and they've been my wake up shit everyday. I turned my 2 sons 16-18 and they are both better musicians then I could ever be and it's cool coming and hearing Grey cell green or cut-up by them and a couple of their band mates from our basement studio. It's cool seeing these teenagers getting into 30+ yr old music they would have probably never heard.
The NAD soundscape is just far different from even bands from their formative times, late 80's til whenever. They own a sophisticated, intelligent sort of punk sound that people needed at that time. It owns Braun AND BRAIN. I have always adored their approach. Perhaps one of my top 3 acts of all time, truly. Let's talk "I've Never Been to Me" from Ruby Tracks. Badass, torturous departure for the lads, in a very positive way. I am old enough to remember the original, yet NAD knocked that track on its ASS. DANG! Incredibly talented and cognitive band. I remain amazed😁
My brother really into them back in the esrly 90's. Its a shame i missed them, but he showed me Metallica, the stone roses and the levellers so he did his job back then. They were really good and very bill n ted lol. Should have been bigger and wish i knew them when i was a skateboarding latch key kid, this music was the perfect fit.
Two bass players was always a winner for me, the fact they were well in with the Mega's helped too. Peter Hook was the first lead guitarist to play bass and Neds took it further
Yup, I still have the. B-SIDE single on CD..titch is my go to song on that one and trust a close second- if these to songs would of made the full album that would of made NAD a bigger band!!
And now I am commenting nearly a decade after you posted this comment. You are right, time does fly. Decades apart but still united through timeless music that ITSELF is several decades old Amazing, isn't it? That we can come together and enjoy the same things while being YEARS apart in time.
Bassist from blink said kill your television was one of his biggest inspirations to play music...you can definitely hear it on his angels and airwaves work.
When you loved neds back in the early 90s you always love them,it never decreases when I hear there songs👌
I'd love to see them live.
@@nuffaction5464 December in Wolves. Im booking my ticket
Until they sold out and produced tacky shit like this.
Been listening to Ned’s since 1991 and all this time I had no idea they had made a video for this song. To this day their sound remains unique.
Dude. Same. Now that I'm 50 I find this...
I remember seeing the video on the ITV Chart Show when I was 19. I'm 51 now, LOL

I remember saving my lunch money so I can buy their album back in 91. I was in high school back then. I first heard their song on MTV's 120 Minutes.
Always loved the two bass thing. One playing the root note, the other playing what I call counter bass, often more melodic.
Besides NYC's Cop Shoot Cop, was NAD the only other band that uses two bass guitar players?

This was one of my favourite Neds songs. Still one of my favourite bands of all time. Still wear my Neds shirts from time to time.
My favorite t-shirt in college had the "Are You Normal?" cover on the front and the back said, in huge block print: "LUNATIC MAGNET"
Definitely on a NAD bender right now. It remains timeless, truly does. Intelligent lyrics, 2 bass, too phreaking good👍

THIS! Is why I love the 90’s so much, very wacky and down to earth, The vibe was unreal, cartoons were over the top and hilarious
I loved all this music and the rave scene, heavy metal the cure etc I was total misfit.... just loved music 🎶🎵🎶
Great song. Got this on 45 vinyl. Is that set based on THE BANANA SPLITS one?
I've always thought so.
Yes.
Death Box Skateboards sticker on the bass 👌
Neds = high school = carefree
So glad I came across this video after all these years because this song is not only excellent but it’s also in my regular rotation now! 🤙
Love me some neds!!!!
I'll never forget seeing them in Camden. Best days.
You know you're getting old when you remember seeing this on TV in your late teens.
I remember first seeing these guys on MTV , I was in my early 30’s , and been a Big Fan Ever Since!🤗
I saw this video on the ITV Chart show (UK) when I was 19. I'm 51 now LOL
FUCK ME this is even better than I remember. NAD's DOMINATE.
how did they convince you guys that this video was a good idea...

Does anyone know that this video is a salute to a late 70s kids show called Banana Splits..
IS THAT THE ORIGINAL BANANA SPLITS SET FROM 1968-1971?
Come on back boys
Flashback about 5 mins ago. Classic
ラットさんのピンクのギター欲しい❣️
I had a band in college, used to cover their stuff... So so so good.
When did this come out? Wasn't on God Fodder, at least not in the states?
Non-album single, released about 6 months after God Fodder.
How the hell did they find the Banana Splits set to film this?
I'm pretty sure it was recreated.
@@vermilliongecko then they did a dang good job
Anyone else old enough to remember the Banana Splits?
Or ever eat one?
Oh, and trust - good thing.
Yes - better than Blink - on so many levels.
To me, they sound more like if Morrisey would sing for Alcaline trio. With that melodic haze of sadness
No, not even in the same genre
Bassist from blink said kill your television was one of his biggest inspirations to play music...you can definitely hear it on his angels and airwaves work.
Blink-182 fan here, and I just love both Ned’s and blink. Great stuff
It's.bass bass fuckin love love
