It still stinks… 😩😩 I thought I meshed very well on my last on-site interview… no idea what happened! Uhhh After umpteen failed attempts and second place finishes (literally).. maybe one day soon.. although the journey is mentally taxing. Best wishes to all out there grinding out for their dream role and company.
You are right about one thing speed matters and also how much others like you. My experience so far as I have been to loads of interviwes , have worked in three big companies here speed is one of the prime asspects that matters how fast can a task get done it is not just any particular task but any and all tasks.
I had a similar experience in March this year. It’s good to hear another possibility of what may have transpired because their feedback was not helpful. ty for the new perspective! Best from Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦
You really have to develop a thick skin if you’re going to play this game. Be careful if primacy bias. That is if you lead in with a skill set that’s complimentary and then try to tie it to the core skill later it won’t work. Humans hear and retain what they have heard first. I sunk myself yesterday by doing this. Remember too that interviewers are trying to make a judgment based on very little information. If you have one with a bias you’ll find it difficult to overcome
Personality? Christ, I’m not dating my co-workers. All that matters is that you’re kind and considerate of others’ feelings. What a joke of a world we live in
When you think about it do you really want to do work with people you're friends with? It's much easier to have fun with people you like than work with them.
hey i met somebody who rejected by the job. hahahahah.. you know how they get the job? being Messy and arrogant like they so needed and better, but actually being rejected specially starup in here my country Indonesia. maybe befored they arleady rejected also in there country, hahaha.. then how they to asking a job, funny think. mostly girl.
I went for a 5 round interview, spoke to the director, who literally said that the job was mine, spoke to all the team members and had HR call me to talk about compensation Only to get an email(with some spelling errors) yesterday from the hiring manager saying that l was rejected This is absolutely crashing for me because it was my dream job and l still can’t process it, l spent over a month going through this interview
I was rejected from my dream job yesterday (it was a role in mu current company) and it hurts like hell ..especially I know I would be great in that role (even my current manager said that. i actually took that rejection personally (although i shouldn't have) so much that I am about to start looking for external jobs. In your case, probably a better candidate showed up at the eleventh hour, after they interviewed you.
