I saw this in Australia when I put on a locally advertised 'Good Neighbourhood' social event with free BBQ with good quality food - sausages, steak, prawns - when the start time arrived, and the food was ready to serve, I saw all these Chinese students descend from nowhere, silently grab the food, and slink away without a word. Guess they learned it from the grandmas in China.
Distribute tickets and make it a more closed event next time. Sad to say. I did not grow up in a neighborhood where they did those really nice events. They have them in my country but not where I used to live.
For good reason. Back in the days mainlanders would flock to HK to buy all the luxury goods. Literally - LV, Gucci etc would be sold out. The mainlanders would return to China to re-sell everything.
Plenty of Americans grew up during the dustbowl and the great depression, where thousands died of starvation in the Midwest, congress ignored it until the SANDSTORMS went all the way to WASHINGTON DC. And our great grandmothers and grandfathers didn't behave like this. This is CULTURAL.
I said the exact same thing, my grandparents grew up dirt poor and were nothing like this, the only thing they did was not to throw away anything that could be useful later on!
How'd you watch the entire video, then make that comparison?? Your folks didn't live & compete for scraps with a billion & a half other people living under a brutally negligent communist regime. It takes several generations to undo the damage & emergent behavior that was caused under those living conditions.
At my local Salvation Army - they hand out loaves of bread every day, free to the poor. One loaf per person - but not for the little old Chinese ladies, who have discovered this source of free food. They push ahead, cut the line, and then when the door opens they rush in, and start grabbing every item of food they can stuff in their bags. Completely shameless.
I’ve watched a Chinese family of four arrive by car, then loot the steel charity bins. When asked what they’re doing - they shrug, and ‘don’t speak English. In suburban Australia.
I'm Malaysian Chinese. A lot of tourists from mainland China often come over for vacation. My house has a nearby hotel so every evening they would walk to the seafood restaurant on the other side of my house, talking and laughing loudly when everyone is about to sleep. They would also walk in the middle of the road as if they own the street and cause trouble for drivers who want to pass because of how stubborn some of these tourists are.
Once on board the ferry between Stockholm-Helsinki I sat together with my wife in the restaurant for dinner when five Chinese people sat down at the table next to us. We did not care until they started talking. Or should I say shouting. I could barely hear my wife and other people in the restaurant looked at them as well like they were thinking are they death? When visiting a temple in area around the royal castle in Bangkok everybody talked very silent and respectfully when a group of Chinese tourists entered and boy! They were like at football crowd. Why are the Chinese like bulldozers? Even the Thai people known for their hospitality and patience says that among the tourists visiting Thailand the Chinese and the Russians are the worst.
I live on a farm and I was once crouched down playing with little chickens and there was Chinese standing in the yard waiting for an order and when the staff went down the field to get there order all the Chinese went into the green house's and started steeling all the crops and when I stood up they all dropped what they were doing and ran and hid in their van, grab hags is what they're called.

Not all Chinese are like that. Have a little faith in humans. SAD. Disappointing. Such selfishness and fear is a bad sign.

That’s the Pride of China. I personally saw this behavior in a buffet in Vegas. It was pretty jarring and everyone around them had a second hand embarrassment. Those poor worker was just in shock. We’re talking about Chinese getting on top of the buffet table and scope the food BY HAND. It’s a very sad view. 😭

It also happened in Australia. I was waiting in line to get into a tour bus and when the door opened, a Chinese grandpa pushed me hard from behind, I looked behind me, and I saw all the Chinese elderly start fighting to get into the bus. I decided to leave the queue and watch these idiots fight amongst themselves for which seats to get. After they all sat down, I went into the bus and chose a seat lol. I mean…. Why are these guys fighting when there’s a seat for everyone?
In China, it's possible that so many people want to get on a bus, that if you don't push and shove, you won't get on the bus. They don't have queues. Even if someone told them there are enough seats, they probably won't believe you. That's because if you ask someone for information and they don't know the answer, they'll just tell you something that isn't true. I asked at a station if I would be able to sleep on a bus after it arrived at the airport and was told that I could. But 2 am, we were all told to get off the bus at a hotel. Stuff like this is what happens in China, so I'm not surprised by their behavior.
@@jessn.3851 Well I am, because it’s a tour bus not a public bus. You know where you hire a tourist guide and then they get a bus? Why on Earth would we get a bus if there’s not enough seats for everyone? Once the elderly got on the bus, only one third of the bus was filled up.
@angryskeletonz If you're trying to use logic to understand the situation, you're just going to give yourself a headàche. Lògic is completely different in Chìna. When I worked in hotel reservations, whenever we had Chinese customers coming to stay, we were told to take anything that could be stolen out of the rooms (hairdryers, tea kettles, extra towels, etc.) before they arrived. Low-class POS's
We bought our house from a bank in a foreclosure, before us there was a Chinese family living there temporarily because of the tax certificates. When they had to leave, they stole the AC unit and all of the ceiling fans, and the funniest thing was that they wanted to sell them back to us when we moved in!
Yes even the Chinese fishermen harvest everything inside the Scarborough shoal even the near extinct giant clams are not spared. They're utterly shameless and greedy to the extreme
I visited Vietnam 5 times in 2023. Out of the different 5 hotels that I stayed with, 2 of them asked me to go down for breakfast after 9.30am with 'the rest'. When I came downstairs, I had a calm breakfast with the tourists from the 'not from DPR China'. They had to separate the buffet session or I will not be able to eat anything. The good news is, the hotel is nice enough to give us extra food that was not served for the Chinese tourists. 😂
@@stevealbenetyh38and that strategy is super commendable dont you think? Haha. If you travel in south east asia, and they ask you to follow certain hotel rules, simply obey. They know you cant win.
This has nothing to do with being poor and all about being selfish and greedy and spiteful as you can see them rather dump food on the ground than let others have it. When a government isn't accountable for its actions, why should the people? The government also penalizes altruistic behavior, as that might foster solidarity, which they are deathly afraid of. One winter in Vancouver the roads were very icy and the city was giving people sand for their driveways and wherever it may be needed......a couple Chinese guys decided they needed all the sand and we're shoveling it into the trunk of their car while their wives were filling grocery bags from save-on foods and putting it in the back seat If it's free Chinese will take it even if they don't need it

I went to a lunch buffet at the Sheraton hotel in Taipei once. The Chinese tourists were insane. A lady dropped a whole tray of French cakes into her hand bag and the staff said nothing! The memory will never leave me. The MeMeMe-mentality is insane.
If a Chinese person changes citizenship, will they still have that mindset? What if they taught the same mindset to their children or grandchildren?? Ughh...that's gonna be a troublesome
It's greed but it's also a form of PTSD The generation that survived the Cultural revolution and the great famine of China have horrid memories of the event and as such they have been conditioned to take literally everything that is ever offered Because they have been in dire situations before
I used to sell plants with my family until they stopped because of prices rose. But I had a fair share of people trying to haggle prices but the worst were the Chinese when they asked for a whole 25 dollars off of a really expensive plant and wouldn’t leave until we sold the plant to her. Eventually a bystander saw the interaction and paid for full price and the woman was straight pissed at him.
A chinese guy on a buffet just got an spoon, took a scoop of the first dish and then using the same spoon went for another Dish and so on before the horrified staff realized it and stopped him, the piece of crap even yelled when security kicked him out, that day the hotel lost a few thousands and a lot of fine food went to trash because a chinese guy lacked the most basic manners, people from that country are something else.

This is like watching those grandparents who grew up during the Great Depression turning into hoarders because there was a time in their life where they had nothing and formed an anxiety disorder from it.
Precisely the same. A Chinese person in his/her 60s has learned the hard lessons from starvation and famine and passed it down to their descendants. It wasn't until the 1950s that Americans were able to kick the PTSD passed down from the Great Depression. In China it'll likely take 150 years of the current prosperity before it's learned out of the culture.
No doubt that I find India has alot of touts, hasslers, tourist scammers, and firlty streets ! I must agree with you that Indians have better a sense of morale values then these chinese behaviours.
A lot of people all over the world suffered extreme scarcity and hunger during World War II, etc. but they didn't come out of it with no morals. Lack of morality is a Chinese thing.
Most will say it was Mao's era that destroyed Chinese morals. But "guanxi" (bribery) has been around and has been the norm since Ancient China. Opportunists and corruption were normal daily behavior. China always has a chaotic and deadly history compared to other civilizations. Comes with the territory of being one of the oldest. Chinese guanxi is even historically considerably older than some countries.
America is headed there. The poorest areas are smash and grab now. We have lost all sense of community. Everything is based on greed and individualism.
Here in the Philippines, one of the vloggers that I've been watching posted his condo unit as for rent. It so happened that a chinese rented it for a about a couple of months. And by the time that those chinese have move out, they went to check on their unit. A lot of their stuffs are missing such as their TV, aircon, oven, microwave, and even the pillows and some home decors. They didn't bring the washing machine because they broke it. Even the tiles are broken. Worst, the unit has no electricity and water. It turns out the chinese were not paying the bills. They've lost a lot of things from the condo, and they even have to pay the house bills and shell out money for repair.
I'm Chinese (but not from China) and saddest thing about Chinese culture is that even if we want to tell/confront these grandma's and grandpas, they would scold the younger generation saying the younger generation has no respect or manners towards the elderly. They are very VERY stubborn and start yelling.
In Malaysia or Singapore, if the younger generation call out these grandma's and grandpas for their obnoxious behaviors, they would scold the young people saying they are the pioneer generation and hence they should be respected.

This doesn't just happen in China, it also happens to many Chinese immigrants who immigrate to other countries, taking charity items, even if they are very rich and don't need these items.
In Chicago there is low income housing for seniors near Chinatown. The Chinese older people hide all their money by giving it to their children so they qualify to get into the housing. No seniors who actually financially need to get in can get in as a consequence. But if you try to apply for an apartment in their neighborhoods, they won’t rent to you because you aren’t Chinese. There are stores in Chinatown where they sell animals for food that are illegal and keep them in the open because they don’t care since the laws don’t apply to them. I don’t understand the mentality of people who leave their country for a better life then proceed to disregard the laws of the nation they think will make their lives better. It’s the height of greed and selfishness.
My Grandfather was a talented electronic engineer, traveled all over the world and I distinctly remember him saying to NEVER trust the Chinese. We're from Chicago too
I was at a buffet with my work colleagues last year after work..there was a minibus full of Chinese tourists who came in and the place was orderly but descended into chaos with diners leaving. No food left and loudness...

I don't blame you. I am well-traveled, too. That's how I feel about them based on my experiences while living in the Philippines and being a flight attendant flying out of the USA.
There is nothing wrong with our mud huts. They are well suited to our climate and are made with materials from the natural environments. Warm at night and very cool during the day unlike your concrete jungles always overly heating up during hot summers. You can make references to these people’s jarring behaviors without including Africans, there is nothing honorable about what you’ve just said about us. Also the term sub-Saharan Africa is a demeaning way to refer to black Africa and you people must stop it.
It's basically a form of PTSD manifesting itself because those individuals were the survivors of some of the worst periods in Chinese history the cultural revolution and the Great leap forward Those two events were so bad people were starving so much that there was a documented cases of cannibalism of the recently deceased

Honestly this explains a lot to me as I work as a promoter in a warehouse store and the Chinese rarely buy but they always try to get as much as possible for free without gratitude. Like they are entitled to it.
There are other stories in Chìna of someone offering free veggies if they come pick them themselves. Their whole field gets tràmpled and they are dèvastated.
I went to Chiang Mai and I was so excited about going there because we were living in a small town in Thailand. I It was work related for international women day but my mother was able to take me with her! And as soon as we got there I saw Chinese aunties screaming at each other along the corridor and I was so shook. I have never seen anyone screaming like that along the corridor. They scream at each other whenever they were outside. They also grab aggressively things at breakfast table since the breakfast is all you can eat. I was very awed to see these aunties acting that way, I thought it must be true when people say aunties from mainland China are loud because I have never seen my Chinese friends' families who are locals never act that way.
Mainland Chinese stand in stark contrast to Chinese from any other civilized country with large ethnic Chinese populations like Taiwan, Hong Kong before the handover, and Singapore.
It's not all Chinese. The Chinese in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, HK are not like this. I think it's decades of chaos, famine and the destruction of education and social mores during the cultural revolution that made some Chinese act this way. Also the Japanese were not so polite in WWII. They were monsters.
A few years ago, we had a large lake with hundreds of ornamental ducks and geese in our city park. We then had a large community of Chinese expats form in the city. Now, not a duck can be found in the park lake. When the city tries to reintroduce the ducks and geese, they quickly disappear.
In our country Nepal 🇳🇵 we tease our friends by calling them Chinese and trust me the amount of anger they show afterwards is scary. Calling Chinese to us is considered an insult.
In March we were on a cruise ship sailing from Shanghai to Japan. We sailed with MSC, who were great as were all the crew on the ship. We had several Chinese tour groups on board as well and they behaved exactly like this. One of the senior restaurant staff, who we got friendly with over the course of the trip, asked us on the last day what we thought of the cruise. I told him we enjoyed the ship and the crew were great, but pointing at the Chinese peasants in the restaurant I asked him how he manages to put up with these people. He rolled his eyes and told us he had worked for P & O for many years before changing to MSC and worked all over the world and that The Chinese were the rudest, most selfish and ignorant people he had ever had the misfortune to work with. He advised us if we were to sail with MSC again to do so from Southampton or from Florida. He said we would have an entirely different experience. We did meet four really nice Chinese on board, educated, cultured and with good manners but the rest were abysmal. This was four lovely people out on a ship capable of taking about 4,000.

This is sadly true. There were lots of chinese tourists in Virginia. One lady rammed me with a cart while i was checking out at the grocery store she bruised my legs quite badly. I've always been around American chinese people who are polite and kind. i was quite shocked at her animalistic behavior i yelled at her but she didn't care. Most of y’all are missing the point. Selfishness isn’t relegated to the poor and unintelligent. This smacks of immaturity. All the signs are there. A lack of social control. Impetuousness. Greed. A lack of empathy for others. A “if I can’t have it, no one can, mentality. I grew out of that when I learned how to walk.
The thing is pretty much most of the things that are taken by these people are wasted in excess, they don't care about how much they really need just the fact that they are free to take.
It's like they enjoy _deliberately DEPRIVING OTHERS_ of anything too, no matter how big or small. It also can explain the examples of why they never finish food and they waste food they grab and leave so much mess behind when in other countries. Same with the physical pushing and shoving of others in queues. I also see it as a type of 'BACKLASH' behaviour, like a lashing out because of some internal _jealousy of other nations who thrived and had more wealth/resources than they did_ during the years of Mao rule when they were scrounging in dirt and poverty. Even their CCP polticial leaders intimated as much, that they were sick and tired of feeling 'humilated' by the West. They see their post-Mao economic growth and all this military posturing and buying up everything, lending money and taking over, properties and national ports, etc. as an opportunity to 'sock it' to, and get back at the West and he rest of the world. It's like a very SPITEFUL behaviour.
I lived in China for 10 years. I loved it........and yes, I've witnessed this behaviour. Many social activities are filled with selfishness and lack of discipline......from the elderly to the young. It's a mindset...........and it is not going to change
It's a scarcity society... The civil wars, and then the shortages under the Communist Party, and with so many millions of people.... They have become like that to survive and will take many years to change.
My dad used to buy and sell large quantities of envelope machinery printing equipment compressors and things like that he would buy whole factories that went out of business. He has dealt with everybody from around the world. He said the worst is when the Chinese would come to buy machinery and because the machinery was still in date there would be heavy taxes bringing it into China so they asked him if he could switch the tags off the older machinery and put it on this machinery and change the paperwork. And they also complained about everything wrong with anything that he was trying to sell. Without them knowing it he called a shuttle van kicked him out of his warehouse and his facilities sent something back of their hotel to get their stuff it immediately flew flew them out because of their lack of morals or ethics or is he would say just flat out lying. That was 1984 I can only imagine what it's like now.
I'm an American, and if you don't think greed is alive and well here, you would be mistaken. For the Chinese in this clip it is flowers, cake and other foods. But in America it is money, things, food, etc. We just cover it up by calling it "doing business," "covering overhead," "inflation," etc. We see people stealing in the stores, overcharging for everything, lying about everything to do with money, not paying off our debts and waste on every level. Seeing older folks grabbing and shoving for food is just more visible than our practiced "civility." Until we see the flash mobs cleaning out an entire mall. Poverty is rampant in China. For those who have not enough to eat, if you don't get in there and get yours, you will starve.
I don’t think in China during their years of famine they had equivalent Gs like Al Capone and his soup banks feeding long lines, churches handing out free meals, free breakfast and nighttime dinner, probably the local Christians and priests making sure they are full, etc. They probably ain’t got none of that, probably not even the Chinese government was able to feed its people in their severe famines I was looking at China and they had a Great Chinese Famine, which Mao caused, so this man made famine had up to 55 million casualties, probably hundreds of millions of people starved, severely malnourished, they also had another famine in WW2 So, I would think the older Chinese have severe generational trauma that gets passed onto their descendants, food PTSD, every man and granny out for himself, like its the Battle of Stalingrad or Leningrad (where people ate each other), they probably ain’t got no food stamp EBT type program in China, so they probably take as much as they can, free for all society (if its out in the open gotta take as much by all means) I really think those old grandparents and their children from the mid 20th century are afflicted with a hoarding / food mental illness, it gets passed down and taught , because in their minds, they don’t know if there will be another severe famine in the 21st century, so when they see all this stuff out in the open, buffets and there’s ‘free’ stuff like toilet paper and samples or whatever , they gotta take it all, know what I am tryna say lol Probably all thanks to Mao they are like that, and living under his communist government

This group is called the lost generation in China. They grew up planting the fields only for them to be in a constant state of hunger and watch 50 million of their country men starve many time including there own parents. One of the things Mao did was basically turn the Chinese people against each other basically favoring one group and telling them to treat the other badly for not being true believer. A relative was in China to open a store comparable to Wally World. After it opened he said they had to close the store every four hours to clean up the mess the customers had made. Theft was rampant. When I was on a tour of Europe Chinese tour groups would attempt to force themself into the front of the line going into places the Sistine Chapel, and St Johns Cathedral. They stayed in tight formation and literally pushed people in line sometimes knocking people to the ground. The Chinese groups were extremly aggresive and rude. In the end the Chinese groups were forced to go to the end of the line with some being eventually denied entrance by police. It was astonishing to watch one group getting removed from the line after cutting in for another to also immediatly try. Some food establishments denied entrance or service to the Chinese tour groups due to pervious experiences of bad behavior by groups. I had always the impression Chinese were respectful but this experience change my mind.

Our guide in the Amazon told us that he would rather guide anyone in the world, except for the Chinese. He said they were rude to the staff, refused to follow any rules, and took over the restaurant as if they were the only ones there. They were the only ones who never tipped at the end of their trips. At the lodge where we stayed and ate, our tables were marked by group. Our guide always had us in the restaurant early so he did not have to fight with the Chinese who would inevitably sit at our table. It’s a shame that this is the impression of the Chinese the world sees, as they are not all like this.
You are a calmer individual than me, grandpa would have felt my instincts as he waited for his nose to be straightened in emergency.
They want what they think is best seat so they can show they are more important or superior
@again5162 i hope they're gone from my country 😢
Honestly this explains a lot to me as I work as a promoter in a warehouse store and the Chinese rarely buy but they always try to get as much as possible for free without gratitude. Like they are entitled to it.
Like when they trampelled the tulip fields in Holland.... the Chinese me me me culture at its best
then in the same breath they beat their chests about how much better everything is and how they are less selfish than westerners lol
Or the lavender fields in Provence, France. Absolutely shameless.
There are other stories in Chìna of someone offering free veggies if they come pick them themselves. Their whole field gets tràmpled and they are dèvastated.
And in EGYPT they defaced a STATUE with GRAFFITI and PISSED on a JAPANESE WAR MEMORIAL..

They do the same thing to our oceans.
What a mess they are making off the coast of South America!

The Chinese stand in stark contrast to the Japanese, who value being polite and thoughtful of others first.
Mainland Chinese stand in stark contrast to Chinese from any other civilized country with large ethnic Chinese populations like Taiwan, Hong Kong before the handover, and Singapore.
And they are close neighbour geographicaly. But different house different parenting
Thank God they are old.. hopefuly they dont pass it to the next generation
@@nurlywardhani8164too late. Just watch some of the Chinese tourist videos. Terrible behavior from old and young
A few years ago, we had a large lake with hundreds of ornamental ducks and geese in our city park. We then had a large community of Chinese expats form in the city. Now, not a duck can be found in the park lake. When the city tries to reintroduce the ducks and geese, they quickly disappear.
Heard the same story about golf courses in Auckland, NZ.

My son also had an incident at the playground where chinese tourist's children started assaulting him. I called the police but there was nothing they could do. I can understand why countries in Asia ban tourists from China.
They even grab islands😂 resources plunder everything they can plunder..😂
I remember staying in a hotel in China and this one woman would take every slice of watermelon every morning. She would empty a platter every morning. Used to make me chuckle
I was at a buffet in Houston, the Chinese just stood at the shrimp and crab legs grabbing it all as soon as it was served. It was disgusting. I wanted some large langoustine so I spoke with a server who brought me to the kitchen and gave me some. They were amazed that I didn’t take all that were offered just what I could eat 😂😂
Most of y’all are missing the point. Selfishness isn’t relegated to the poor and unintelligent. This smacks of immaturity. All the signs are there. A lack of social control. Impetuousness. Greed. A lack of empathy for others. A “if I can’t have it, no one can, mentality. I grew out of that when I learned how to walk.

the cake 🍰 shoveled into plastic bags was funny 😂
Disgusting. Like are they even going to eat it?
I was imagining her trying to slap it together and reconstruct it at home when I saw that. She was wearing all the frosting, however.
The thing is pretty much most of the things that are taken by these people are wasted in excess, they don't care about how much they really need just the fact that they are free to take.
At buffets they don't even eat half of what they take. They take just because it is there.
Well if you eat dogs your a sub-human....regardless of race...just sayin.
I would be incredibly embarrassed by this if it was being done in my country.
You don't have flash mobs ransacking near you?

We had the great depression here in America and they did not act like those aunties
Probably Mao’s famine was even more traumatic than the Great Depression
Whites rioted and looted blacks' homes in over 100 cities in the US up to WWII
I don’t think in China during their years of famine they had equivalent Gs like Al Capone and his soup banks feeding long lines, churches handing out free meals, free breakfast and nighttime dinner, probably the local Christians and priests making sure they are full, etc. They probably ain’t got none of that, probably not even the Chinese government was able to feed its people in their severe famines
I was looking at China and they had a Great Chinese Famine, which Mao caused, so this man made famine had up to 55 million casualties, probably hundreds of millions of people starved, severely malnourished, they also had another famine in WW2
So, I would think the older Chinese have severe generational trauma that gets passed onto their descendants, food PTSD, every man and granny out for himself, like its the Battle of Stalingrad or Leningrad (where people ate each other), they probably ain’t got no food stamp EBT type program in China, so they probably take as much as they can, free for all society (if its out in the open gotta take as much by all means)
I really think those old grandparents and their children from the mid 20th century are afflicted with a hoarding / food mental illness, it gets passed down and taught , because in their minds, they don’t know if there will be another severe famine in the 21st century, so when they see all this stuff out in the open, buffets and there’s ‘free’ stuff like toilet paper and samples or whatever , they gotta take it all, know what I am tryna say lol
Probably all thanks to Mao they are like that, and living under his communist government
They didn't just stàrve. The èducated were màde to wòrk in the fièlds. They snìtched on fàmily and frìends. The fàmily unit was basically dèstroyed. Mào did far wòrse than allow people to stàrve.

Chinese communism has so much to teach us all
we believe the US capitalism can teach us better :
How many US mass shootings have there been in 2023?
There have been more than 630 mass shootings across the US so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more people are injured or killed. Their figures include shootings that happen in homes and in public places.
For each of the last three years there have been more than 600 mass shootings - almost two a day on average.
48,830 people died from gun-related injuries in the US during 2021
That applies to any communism, not just the Chinese one.

Sadly, I experienced similar behavior in America. The western restaurant ran out of food during a special all you can eat event. They done use plates, they use the serving trays as plates. They brought along their chili sauce and chopsticks. You wouldn’t think it is America when you see the rushing around, cutting lines and pushing everybody away, acting like animals. Those who did not followed were tortured or killed. First it was the youth against there teachers, then it was the miltary against the youth and basically made sure everyone got totally broken morally and psychologically and basically left with nothing more then survival. Morals went out the table. Well we are see the results of growing up in such a way.
