I think we have very similar taste in what scares us. I’m with you on almost every one of those. Found footage is probably the most effective for me and the paranormal is my thing. Lake Mungo is cracking. Freaks me the hell out! I was going to recommend The Borderlands until I saw it on your list! 😂
😄👍🏻 yeah I think I've found in the past watching ur videos we seem to cross over in taste with the paranormal 👻 definitely unlocks something in my brain chemistry that leaves me more tense than when I went in 😄 but I do get a kick out of it!
Just recently stumbled upon your channel, Subbed! 'The Borderlands' is def one that got to me.. very unsettling and creepy throughout, leading up to a final sequence that is really terrifying. I've got it in my collection under the title 'Final Prayer'. Enjoyed watching your video/list.. Cheers!
Hi 😀👍🏻 welcome along! Yeah I only saw boardlands/ final prayer earlier this year thanks to the company second sight releasing it. Thought it was a great, creepy time! Appreciate the sub and comment 😎👍🏻
I'm the same - I find most horror movies fun, but ghostly/supernatural stuff really frightens me. Nice to hear someone mention The Innkeepers - it's very slow, but creates a really creepy atmosphere. I watched The Borderlands recently and thought it was excellent albeit very unsettling. Paranormal Activity absolutely terrified me! Like you, I watched it in the dark and had never been so scared! Agree with you on Lake Mungo, I found the whole thing uncomfortable but the ending reveal really unnerved me. Great video! I'm actually planning a similar video in the near future about movies that actually scare me so this was interesting to watch.
Hey Bryn, glad I'm not alone on these type of horror movies 😄 yeah I'm a big fan of all these listed movies, they just get me how a good scary horror should. I was pretty late to the party with Innkeepers but so glad I watched it, was surprised that not more people enjoyed it as much as me. Look forward to ur version of this list mate 😁👍🏻
Guess it is subjective like you say, good stuff Ash. The lawnmower scene in Sinister is amongst the best jump scares I have seen. Watched The Blair Witch Project at the cinema aswell, fantastic advertising campaign. Good picks and can see why you chose them all and the creepy guy out of Poltergeist 2 is scary matey. Session 9 is a favourite, such a good location filmed at the Danvers State mental hospital. Innkeepers I enjoy and like Sarah Paxton. The Changeling classic to me and Borderlands surprised me, last scene was stuck in my head days after. Other than The Descent The Conjuring 2 and Pet Sematary this is basically the same as my list would be
I also really love supernatural/paranormal horror. However, because I was born into a paranormal family and raised surrounded by spirit activity, it's hard for me to find a horror movie that really gets me lol. That being said, based on your list, I think you would like "The St. Francisville Experiment". My first horror movie was "The Exorcist", it made me a horror fan for life and has been my favorite ever since. I was only 7 when I first saw it in the 70s lol.
Cool, thanks for the recommendation! I shall be sure to look into that one 🙂👍🏻 wow id imagine the exorcist back then at that age was quite the introduction to horror ! 😄
I find the look of spirits in Korean & Indonesian movies creepy 👀 I like every film you’ve spoken about. The end of Don’t look Now is horrific even when you see it coming. Lake Mungo is an interesting mockumentary, when done right that method of filmmaking is captivating. Have you seen Horror in the high desert 1&2? No physical release but they’re were on Amazon.

I've 4:26 been nonplussed with these horror recommended shows that never include Sinister, one of my favs. Thank you!
Glad u found a list that includes it 😄👍🏻

Yeah Korean horror gets me too, and some j horror 😁 I've not seen those movies mate, I'll have to investigate those 🤔😀👍🏻 thanks for the tip off 👍🏻
The last 15 mins were terrifying!
I highly recommend Gonjiam haunted asylum. Think it will be right up your street
Thanks for the recommendation, it is one I recently picked up and watched 😁👍🏻 just narrowly missed the list of 10 👌🏻
28 Years Later sounds interesting…you looking forward to it?
Yeah I'll definitely be checking it out once I get the opportunity, it's normally once things hit streaming or disc that get chance 😎👍🏻
