It is absolutely mind boggling that a footballer who is playing for a club that he supported as a child, and that his father played for wants to play for them!
So funny straight away. “He won’t stay” “real are BIG team he’ll go there” literally 2 minutes after he signs the extension. Just like Aguero just like Rodri just like David Silva. Please keep sleeping on City. It just makes us stronger
No one seems to understand that all of the fringe benefits of being at City can simply make some players not want to go elsewhere. The facilities and campus are world class. Their marketing. It shouldn’t be understated that Man City treat their players better than any club. How long have the likes of KDB, David Silva, Aguero, etc stayed? The length of time isn’t unprecedented. Also, I think you’ll see very few City players heading to Real Madrid after their absolute disgrace of a temper tantrum over Rodri’s balon d’or
The stupidity and inability to think critically by these 3 is positively mind boggling. Why would City give a contract like this to Haaand and why would Haaland take? 🤔 - Keeps wage inflation down for City - Ensures stability of one of City’s greatest assets - Gives Haaland great financial stability in his career for the next 10yrs which I’d imagine is especially helpful given he’s a new dad and likey getting married raising a family - Allows him and his new family geographical stability so they won’t have to move around in his son’s formative years - Gives Haaland long term insurance any kind of season ending injuries - Gives the City a long enough runway that they don’t have to worry about Haaland leaving the club on a free in the peak of his powers - Gives City financial insurance that should any suitor want to some in for Haaland, they will be compensated handsomely I could go on, yet these doors barely scratched trhe surface and then prattle on about why he would do this? This is actually dumb. You need to keep contract at appropriate length to give player some sense of security while keeping them motivated. You basically give them a reason to work hard, i. e. for another big contract. Now if you were Haaland, the complacency trap is right there.

- Keeps wage inflation down for City
- Ensures stability of one of City’s greatest assets

- Gives Haaland long term insurance any kind of season ending injuries
- Gives the City a long enough runway that they don’t have to worry about Haaland leaving the club on a free in the peak of his powers
- Gives City financial insurance that should any suitor want to some in for Haaland, they will be compensated handsomely
