What is goin’ on everyone? Leon checkin’ in and we are at it again with more content!
Today we are covering more of the 2024 Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 by discussing some of the highlights and key features I found interesting and wanted to share with all of you!
Now there are things I’ve noticed either automatically or through tutorials that showed during my first few days of use and this content is more of an overview.
That being said, we will be diving into these topics with more detail in future videos but keeping them simple for the moment..
The goal of this content is to help you get more out of your devices and improve your day-to-day efficiency with technology and I’m hoping to do this by providing information you can’t find anywhere else, because I use products long term that I am actually interested in!
Highlights/Key Features:
⚫Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (16”, 9) Virtual User Guide; a richer experience which also includes a virtual tour!
⚫Large display, thin bezels.
⚫Keyboard keys have rounded edges and a gamer-esque layout (i.e.: the directional keys are in a perfect location).
⚫Dedicated Copilot Key to emphasize the AI-theme.
⚫RGB & performance shortcuts are a plus!
⚫RGB base light bar; a cool Cyberpunk aesthetic!
⚫Ports; there are plenty and they are clearly labeled.
Drawbacks/Quirks
🔴Lid top notch: some may not mind it, others may.
🔴No camera slider.
🔴Off-center trackpad; some may not mind it, others may.
As always, clarity and authenticity are important to the content. That being said, I did purchase this product myself and this means my interest was not influenced by free product or payment, leading to more authentic content.
All things said… Let’s go ahead… And get into it!

UPDATE 3.11.24: (In regards to the camera slider, which I mentioned wasn't available; I was incorrect). Shoutout to fellow techies @RuralLedge & @ByteBallads for helping us locate the camera privacy slider. It can be found on the right side of the keyboard frame.🫡

I'm sure that the moment with RGB at 6:20 is the moment we least have been interested in. The gaming experience and battery life would have been more interesting to hear about.
Can someone please get this one for me?
Will you be reviewing the lenovo legion 7i 2024? ( the newest slim model that they no longer call slim!)
Hi @MrDuubsteep!
First, thank you for checkin' and and dropping the question and pointing out something interesting here about the slim versions of the thicker units. I think that's great that Lenovo is offering these options for easier transport for those who are on-the-go!
This is a great suggestion! I'm still learning about the Lenovo line of gaming laptops, but from my quick research, it sounds like the thin versions are still nicely spec'd units at around half the price and half the specs. I think these are still great for gaming as I have a HP Omen that's two years old with similar specs and it runs the newest games quite well (I can play Cyberpunk 2077 on my HP Omen with no issues).
If you don't mind not having high end features like AI capabilities or Ray Tracing in games, I think the slim version can save you some good money while offering very good gaming specs.
I would certainly like to review more of these units if I get the chance.
Thank you again!
Please review legion pro 5 14900hx 2024 model.
Hi Mahdi!
Thank you for your comment! I truly appreciate it!
While I would love to review that model, it's not possible for me at the moment.
But if I get the chance, I'll be sure to create content.
Thank you again! 🫡

Lenovo's wave of mega silent firings in early 2023 were absolutely despicable. They laid off thousands of really great people after posting record profits and bragging about moving up the Forbes list each quarter in their "All Hands" NA org sales meetings to those people that moved the needle for them. They ruined thousands of people's lives who relocated and rented or purchased new homes just to join the US sales organization during the digital boom of the pandemic and increase in business for them, forcing them to lose their homes and become homeless. Their warranty process is atrocious and considered terrible by anyone who has had to deal with service claims on top of this.
You must be one of them. I see you posting this a lot of review regarding lenovo laptops. If so I'm sorry, but move on. It's not worth lingering over.
Moreover there are layoffs on the entire tech industry ( among others) which is twofold. First the pandamic boosted gaming and other inside activities towards overextending numbers. Second is inflation caused by politicians spending and printing more than is good for the economy. Companies are not for welfare no matter how harsh that sounds.
I agree with MC, Eddie. I'm sorry if that happened to you or someone you know, but do you really think this channel is the place to complain about Lenovo?
Love lenovo, I've had nothing but great service
@@MC-wd5koAgree with your premise, but the comment about inflation is largely an American myth.
I always refer people to look up Stephanie Kelton and her papers on Modern Monetary Theory. Incredibly sound and important work.
The basic idea is: governments are not corporations and, as such, should not be run like one. Reagan really fucked us over with this idea that "the country should be run like a business". Which is delusional. The purpose of a business (in Capitalism) is to extract every iota of capital it can from consumers. I think we can agree, when thought about for 10 seconds, that this does not lead to a healthy society.
STFU, it's their company and they can do whatever they want as long as it's legal. If you don't like Lenovo, go work somewhere else.
Privacy slider is on the side of the laptop.
Hi Zachary,
This is correct. Notes have been added to the pinned comment. 🫡
You mentioned there is no privacy slider on the camera. But I thought these laptops have a camera switch on the right that physically disconects tbe camera so no need for the slider. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it was on previous models
Hi Rural!
I appreciate the tip and I could be wrong as well as I'm learning this laptop.
I will certainly be investigating this and report the findings. 🫡
@@TechCrackedWeeklythere is a privacy switch on the sides of the ports, the one that has a camera icon, the switch is found on the right side, red in color
Thanks to the both of you! I can confirm it is here! Wow. What a odd location, but good to know it is here! I appreciate both of your knowledge! 🫡
