I like how Kai keeps up with the rest of the cast without special powers, exceptional talent, or anything other then shitloads of experience, hard work, and balls.
I listened to this at the same time as listening to Sanger, Elzam and Gilliam's themes. I think the combined power of all their songs gave me an awesome moustache.
Unlike the rest of the OG pilots, Kai can go home and be a family man....and still can kick ass. Heck, everytime Kai pilots a Gespenst, it suddenly becomes a Super Robot and not a generic mook mech.
REALTIME ARRANGE! This guy doesn't even use preset OS movements like other real robot pilots are implied to use with the TC-OS. He's just that good with the controls.
There is a reason why Arado was trained by Kyosuke. He is the expert on all things Alteisen. And there is a reason why he was trained by Kai. He is just the best. Kai Kitamura is, also, the reason why the Gespies are the most baddass of the grunt units and why, even when they are technically outdated in comparisson with Lions and Huckys, are still able to outmatch those two lines of production. They were designed with the input of this man.
Literally no-one is better with the Jet Magnum. I honestly never expected a Gespenst to become an endgame unit for me. Then I realized I could boost Jet Magnum to the power of a superweapon. Maybe a single fist can destroy the world after all.
dunno what music i was talking this in but i seem to recall saying that the gespies ARE the better robot than the new and fangled hucks and lions if not for its wallet bleeding costs to produce and maintain(i mean bloody cmon a fully upgraded gesp II cost what 500k in OG 1 to repair[preface: i messed up a mission with russle and he is on-board an old gespy that either kyosuke used before the alt. he died from being gang-raped by DC mechs. bloody russle and his awful dodges]. that nearly broke me for an upgrade waiting for the SRX). yeah it has power AND capacity for both weapons and parts but it is very expensive. i was thinking of doing a gespies only run. just have to know if the unique pilots can be boarded to gespies.
Kai Kitamura: a military family man who doesn’t have a lot of fancy moves but is still incredibly lethal with basic moves. Basically he’s the Guile of Super Robot Wars.
To add to the manliness and the mustache: He is capable of fighting against hordes of enemies with a seriously outdated unit... AND WINNING AGAINST THEM!
@MirageDragon1600 A pilot was listening to this while flying on his jet. The jet suddenly grew the most badass 'stache and the pilot was promoted for such awesomeness.
"here, try my FIST on for size!" what's sad is, i said that exact line playing Halo long before i ever played SRW, after seeing Kai kitamura say that ..don;t ay know i feel like a badass now?
@DarkvindFromIllier Mecha anime logic. And Kai uses a unique Genspest in Gaiden eventually (it's got Plasma Stakes on both arms instead of just one), though his isn't a super prototype, just one he's tricked out to suit his combat style.
Banpresto disrespected Kai when they gave him a mass-produced unit. They disrespected Kai when the didn't give him the Gespenst Mk-II S as his personal unit. They extremely disrespected Kai when they choose Kyosuke to represented the Gespenst Kick (KAI'S CREATION!). Kai deserve much more than that, he deserve the ultimate Gespenst S, just like Gilliam's Type RV.
+Mishael4248 I understood and can see where you're coming from. However Kai's badassness comes from the fact that he DOESN'T need a special suit. Sanger has the Grugust and Dynegar. Elzam had a modified Huckbein and a the Aussentier. Kai just gets into any random Gespent and presto, it moves like it's a Super Robot. Kai is basically Kyosuke on steroids.
That would be his Gespenst MK II Kai (Kai as in Custom, but the one with two Jet Magnums is Kai's personal unit). He doesn't get it until OG Gaiden, however.
It was criminal that Divine Wars had only one instance of the manliness that is Jet Magnum. Fortunately, The Inspectors increased Jet Magnum, while at the same time toning down Kai into more of a team dad, Which isn't a bad thing, mind.
@solar464 It's often true that prototypes had more capabilities then line production models, but they usually also had a lot more flaws too: they hadn't actually been used in the field yet, so all the millions of possible stresses put on them haven't happened. Basically a prototype is more often just....more, not simply better. In real robot shows though it's just an excuse for the hero to have a unique machine distinguishable from everyone else.
Nah, if he really wanted to give them a sporting chance, he would go without a mech. He does it for giggles and shit, and because he really likes the good old gespy *laughs*
I have a question about Kai. Does he dual wield Jet Magnums? I saw a picture of a Gespenst MKII with Jet magnums on both arms affiliated to Kai, so I'm curious. I haven't played too far into the game to know. :/
In OGG there's the new model of Gespenst actually is a modification. one of those modifications allows to use the dual jet magnum ( is called jet phatom )
@DarkvindFromIllier True, but Katina's stats are always meh until level 15-17 or so. Sure she gets the Nekketsu ability almost right away, but her Defense is always kinda shoddy, bad Evade and her Will/Morale is TERRIBLE despite being crazy hot-blooded. Kai has ROCKING stats right from the get-go, and doesn't get any worse.
@DarkvindFromIllier it makes sense prototypes have more power than mass produced models. money money money yanno, companies are gonna cut as many corners as they can and still be able to sell the product, so the mass produced models are cheap enough so they can be mass produced in the first place. the companies that make the weapons wont make 3 really good ones if for the same price they can make 300 crappy ones.
Still kick asses with out-dated mass production mech for grunt, Kai totally make Sanger a man with top-tier mech, big sword and small penis (and full of cliche) with me.
I like how Kai keeps up with the rest of the cast without special powers, exceptional talent, or anything other then shitloads of experience, hard work, and balls.
And moustaches! Don't forget the moustaches!
I listened to this at the same time as listening to Sanger, Elzam and Gilliam's themes.
I think the combined power of all their songs gave me an awesome moustache.
"I cant say a Single Fist can Stop a army but...IT CAN SURELY STOP YOU"
A single fist may not be able to destroy the world.
But it can _certainly_ destroy *_you._*
Kai Kitamura.
Manliest of all men.
And that's all that needs to be said.
"My fist might not be able to destroy the world, BUT IT CAN DESTROY YOU!"
Basically, the Aggressors were all badasses. It was a top secret project to assemble the most badass men in existence under one banner.
Except Tempest. He was incredibly annoying
"I won't say that a single mustache can destroy the world...
But it can certainly destroy you!!"
@@RanRii A lot of the OS presets are probably based on moves he's performed.
Put Kitamura in a Zaku, GM or Scopedog and watch tear the enemy to pieces
@@mercenarygundam1487 hell put him in a Ball and he'll somehow make It destroy late Uc stuff.
Zengar learned everything he knows about swordsmanship from Rishu, and everything he knows about manliness from Kai.
There is a reason why Arado was trained by Kyosuke. He is the expert on all things Alteisen. And there is a reason why he was trained by Kai. He is just the best.

+TARDISES "YOU" here means an army, Kai just Jet Phatom them, one - by - one.
His kick can destroy the world though.

kicks ass then goes home to be a family man.
Its what men do...
let omniman pilot a zaku based mech and you'll have this themesong
"I won't say I only need this fist to fight ... but I certainly can beat you down !"
"PLASMA STAKE SET! JETOOOOO MAGUNUUUUUM!"
To add to the manliness and the mustache:
He is capable of fighting against hordes of enemies with a seriously outdated unit... AND WINNING AGAINST THEM!
@MirageDragon1600
A pilot was listening to this while flying on his jet. The jet suddenly grew the most badass 'stache and the pilot was promoted for such awesomeness.
Kai said "I don't need no fancy new weapons or mechs, gimme the old one and I'll kick some serious ass" and boi he f'in did
ラッシングダンディをバックにジェットファントムで畳み掛けるカイ少佐の勇姿はべた惚れ不回避
Kai's daughter needs to be a pilot.
Make your daddy proud kid.
+rvlast Even better, said daughter has to be Mina Likering, one of the custom characters you can make for SRW F Final.
It's been rumored...that Kai....is a badass......no wait that's Straight up facts
JET MAGNUM!!!!!!
It equals to Top-main Villains fearing the Mass-production models and true ace pilots of the series!
The absolute ace in Original Generation 2 since he joined so early and we have Grungust available at early game well.
"here, try my FIST on for size!"
what's sad is, i said that exact line playing Halo long before i ever played SRW, after seeing Kai kitamura say that

+Mishael4248 Are you saying Kai "my gespent's actually a super robot" Kitamura NEEDS a special unit to be badass?
HERESY!!!!
I am saying he deserve a special Gespenst, the Gespenst that is the father of Super Robots.
+Mishael4248 I understood and can see where you're coming from. However Kai's badassness comes from the fact that he DOESN'T need a special suit. Sanger has the Grugust and Dynegar. Elzam had a modified Huckbein and a the Aussentier.

+Mishael4248 Kai doesn't give a fuck, he finds a random Gespenst, he climbs in and the enemy dies.
Kai was supposed to get the DaiRaiOh but said, nah and got into a Gespenst instead. As long as its got plasma stakes he's fine.
That would be his Gespenst MK II Kai (Kai as in Custom, but the one with two Jet Magnums is Kai's personal unit). He doesn't get it until OG Gaiden, however.
The mustache of authority.

拳一つで戦えるとは言わん…!
だが、拳一つを甘く見るなよ!!
proving that you don't need nendo fields, or shit like that to kick ass, just a customized gespenst and a jet magunm

Twin beam cannon.... go....
Now everything about Kai other people say of him makes sense.
like a racing game
Moustache + Authority + Kickass mech = ???
Jet Phantom!!

Reminds me of the soundtracks from Top Gun.

Remind me soundtracks from megaman X3 :D
Let see, prefers fist, has a rocking porn stache, absolutely awesome. I knew it, Kai Kitamura is actually a younger Master Asia.

seriously any other weapon sounds more badass than JET MAGNUN? i dont thing so

It's inspiration, Broken Magnum :D
