My latest adventures: bought Li auto call options in february when stock price was around 29,, lost all, again bought when the price started dip below 22 and the last batch at 18, was lucky enough to recover all losses and go way higher when price rebounded to 34 in june
Hi Adam, would you be sharing advice on what strike price is good, what length of options is optimal (1 week? 1 month?) How to set stop loss on options? What best practices for not losing money on options? These are things I hope to know more, thanks Adam!
Just sharing - I took Mr. Adam's most of the courses, Options definitely you will lose money but if your win ratio is more than loss, then you will be profitable. I make money on options but didn't make money in every single trade. Mr. Adam's options course is amazing. I am not recommending, just sharing my opinion.
Would be great a tutorial and guide how to use interactive broker that is so bad and not user friendly! theory is nice but then of the broker i'm not able to use it
Love the video, but title is misleading as you've already talked about Options 101 in your earlier videos. Should have just directed them to that video. Love your videos though!
Sir good work explaini g us thank you but if one is in a small account we cannot sort it sell puts even with cash but small means small and we can't and should t leverage anything more than we have in account , I live the concept of that you teching us but TOS will not let you select from drop downs of anything other than single , it will not let us do vertical or iron condor or any other things , thank you for your knowledge
But when I sell a put, it is compulsory for me to go into margin no matter if I have enough cash to cover the position or not. The broker then charges about 7% on this margin which I think is very high because banks charges only 3-4% to borrow money. I'm wondering is this the same with every broker or is it simply because my broker sucks?
I still buy options but I want to transition into credit spreads. I am also looking for a mentor who has been doing this for a while. Any advice on where i can find one?
selling CSP is good but not always!!! you should add that not all stocks are suitable for this strategy. a stock that move in ranges or reach a support, CSP will be a good strategy but for a stock that keeps falling, csp is certainly not the thing to do because you don't know when or how long it will take for the stock to go back up; for instance, you have sold a CSP on BABA recently and the stock have gone down and down quite a lot and you would have incurred a significant paper lost !!!..any options strategies are good so long as you understand well the underlying you are trading. :)
You need a large account to sell Options especially once you factor in position sizing and risk allocation. ROI is very low as well. Risk-Reward doesn’t make sense also. i.e 1 big loss can easily erase your 10 wins especially since you sell OTM
My thoughts exactly. In the future if I get my account up to 1M then I think that'll be enough that I can basically retire and just live off the wheel strategy. 🤓
This stuff is nothing special. There are many other channels that provide the same educational material for free. If you still don't know why this stuff is free, then you're pretty naive.
