There is nothing wrong with buying something for yourself. I don’t ask for luxury from anyone so for my bday and Xmas I always purchase at least 1 luxury item(normally more) for myself. I wrap them up and throw them under the tree. 😂😂. Congrats on the new bag Minnie.

Congratulations on your new Gucci bag! I don't know what it is about the Ophidia and the horsebit collection from Gucci, but I'm obsessed with both. I have a small wallet, a back pack and a pouch from the Ophidia collection, and I am definitely giving myself a new handbag from their 1955 horsebit collection for Christmas. I totally do the same thing you do, and I even include a gift note to myself. My family and friends used to think that was funny, but over the years, I've inspired other friends to do the same for themselves. I love the size of this one. Good price too. I hate how they charge more the crossbody version by just adding a chain and extra strap for 1750 (a little smaller too). I think you might like the Celine Ava too, it's smaller and more $ though. That one is popular too.

I returned the LV PA today and got this Gucci instead. Much better value in my opinion. This was a birthday gift to myself, so totally agree you can treat yourself! I'm really unhappy with the price increases lately at LV...crazy!

I have been eying the ophidia and hubs asked what I wanted for Christmas - this might just be it. I haven’t bought a single piece of Gucci canvas and I currently don’t have a smaller pochette style bag to sling on my shoulder! Very grateful you made a review. I very much like the tasteful marmont logo on the trim! This is a fun classic piece

Love this! Who doesn’t like a gift to oneself? I thought this was comparable to the Celine shoulder bag. Slight price variation.
Gucci was the brand that Invested into when I started my designer bag collection. I have about 7 Gucci bags I believe and gave one to my sister so had 8. They went out of fashion but are coming back into the mainstream. Nearly sold all my Gucci bags, my friends mum said I should not as they are vintage. Glad I listened to her❤. Cute bag

Thank you for reviewing. Just got this with the long crossbody strap and strawberry keychain. Absolutely love it as I can wear it every day and switch the strap for the gold chain for dressier outfits.

So I have been looking at the navy version of this with the removable chain strap and the second webbing strap- but it’s about €500 more expensive than this one 😢 I’m all about crossbody and afraid if I get this version I won’t use it as a shoulder bag. But €500 extra for the removable option is just too much. Anyone here have any words of wisdom/ encouragement?

Could you do a review comparing Fendi Baguette (not the new one, but the old classic version) with this bag? I fell in love with this Gucci as soon as I saw it, love the simplicity and classy look.
