Hearing him so low you can sure tell who had the stronger vocals and most of the songs when he was with day26
If you think it's him, I'd have to disagree. As a vocalist and musician, I think they all had their strengths. Brian had crazy range but couldn't really do soft parts nor was he big on runs. Robert had the runs and lows on lock. Mike had soul with crazy improv/ad-libs plus was good at singing harmonies. Q, surprisingly, was the most well-rounded cause he had arguably the best falsetto with Brian, probably 2nd best runs after Robert, ad-libs were dope and he could sing high or low. Willie was not the best at any of those things I mentioned but he probably top 3 at all except for low notes, and was for sure the most consistent, basically he sounded the exact same whether in-studio or singing live which is really hard to do. So they all complimented each other perfectly but I understand why Diddy told Brian he has to learn to stop yelling on the song.
@@Saxandfifths I agree with some parts of your assessment. I think Willie is the most consistent vocally... reminds me of Avant. Robert has the best runs and lows. Mike has soul, kinda like Paul Williams of the Temptations. Brian has raw power that I'm not sure he fully developed. He reminds me of a cross between Joe and Wanye Morris. Q is Q.
