- Scooter Hut takes pride in finding the perfect scooter for every rider.
We know that scooters, just like riding styles, are all different and choosing the perfect complete scooter for you is not always an easy task. One of the most common questions we get is “what size scooter do I need?”... and for good reason, a scooter with a bar that is too tall or too short for a rider is not only uncomfortable but can also be unsafe and create a dangerous risk of injury. Probably more importantly to the rider though, it holds back your progression.
With over 10 years of experience as a dedicated freestyle scooter store, Scooter Hut knows exactly what you need to know to find the right size scooter for you!
We know that everyone is different and not all our recommendations will suit all scooter riders, everything discussed in this video are just suggestions and the different parts of the scooter to look at when purchasing.
When purchasing a scooter there is room for customisation either with upgrading the parts or altering the parts such as the bars to suit your individual needs, Scooter Hut has a range of customisation options available.

If you are still growing taller bars will be a great option.
Hey I wanna get into scootering I’m 14 around 5’7 or 5’8 would the root industries lithium se be a good choice?
Either the lithium or the invictus range from Root Industries would good for you

I am 13 5’7-8 and still growing should I get the prodigy s8 pro
hey, i have the same envy prodigy in your video that i bought from u guys and im about 170 cm and 13 yrs old. the bars are below my pockets so its getting quite small, so im thinking of upgrading. will the bars be the same size or would ihave had a small size. cheers!

a lil late to the party but im interested in getting the root industries type r and i am 5 ft, do you think that would be good for me?
What complete would work best for me? I am 6’4 250 with a size 13 us foot and I am longer in the torso… I was looking at the aztek siren pro that just came out but I don’t want to buy it and it be way to small
Hey James, for someone of your size we do recommend building a custom to make sure that you have tall enough bars and a wide enough deck for you.

I have a question about e-scooters.
If your battery goes dead while your miles away from either charging it or home, is it just as easy to ride an e-scooter like a non motorized kick scooter or will the electric motor/s cause resistance making manual riding difficult?
There will be resistance from when you push the scooter along.

Man! what complete scooter should i buy if im 6,1 and i want to do park? Should i go for prodigy s8?
For your size I think the S8 might be bit small for you. I would recommend any of the KOS series 6 scooters for you instead as they have taller overall height that would be better suited to you.
Im 13 and im 5 feet and 9 inches tall what would u recommend
In 6.1 ft wish size you recommend me
any cheap scooter for a 14 year old around 5'6-7
are 28in high bars good enough for me? i think im about 5'6 5'7
28" would probably be to big for you unless you want really tall bars.
I would probably go with 25" - 26"
I need some help finding the right scooter size for me.
I haven't ridden a scooter in like ~8 years but want to start again just for fun. Unfortunately, my MGP Nitro is way too small for me now.
I am 184 cm tall and 22 years old. When standing with no shoes on, my belly button is 111 cm high.
Back when i rode, i jumped on a small self-made ramp in front of the house, rode a lot in a small skate park and also went street riding quite frequently. When riding street i never grinded anything. I only did 360s, barspins or tailwhips down stairs or just rode some other fun/flowy routes in the city. Should i choose a park or street scooter? (I cant even remember "street" scooters being a thing 10 years ago!)
I thought about the "Ethic Vulcain" complete (90 cm tall) and the "Tilt Theorem" complete (93 cm tall) ( I picked the Ethic and Tilt because i like the looks of them). Are there any other scooters which you would recommend? What scooter height/deck size should i look out for?
I would really appreciate it, if you could help me decide :) Thanks in advance!
Hey there, For someone of your height we recommend the Triad Psychic complete scooter.
@@ScooterHutTV Thanks for your fast reply!

Hey i am 6´3 and i wanted to buy the KOS series from Envy is the 90 cm height ok with the 650mm bars?
That is completely fine.
curious what height you are to judge if I should get the RS or not. I'm 5'11 and been on the fence on either the RS or the envy prodigy s8 street edition.
Hey Brin, I would suggest you go with the Envy Poridgy series if you are 5'11". We also have the Prodigy S9 available now which is awesome!
So basically, the handlebar height should be between your pockets and belly button? Cool. I don't need a pro scooter or anything, just in the market for something simple to use to get around faster, but the info is useful nonetheless
What size scooter should I get for a beginner that’s 5’9 215 and just like cruising and doing basic scooter tricks! Also I’m 42 yo
For a rider your height, the Envy Prodigy Street Edition would be a great option to get started! Will be the easiest to start learning new tricks and grinds etc!
If you're looking for something with a super tall bar height for comfortability, the Root Industries V2 is the best bet!
Here I've linked the Envy Prodigy Street Edition in Grey/Green-

Unfortunately, most scooter companies have a weight limit of 100kg or 220 pounds.
Hey, I'm about 171 cm (13yrs) and I was wondering what scooter height would be best for me. Thanks!
The best height for a rider like yourself would be a bar height of 24-25" tall. The best complete scooter we currently offer that has a bar height of 24.4" is the world's best-selling Envy Prodigy S9 model, linked below for just $209 AUD!
scooterhut.com.au/products/envy-complete-scooter-prodigy-s9-hex
im 6'3. what would be the best bar height?
It really personal preference but we would recommend 28" tall bars
Can you put the link in please for the root one
I already bought the root industries type r, is that ok for a 5’5/ 5’6 rider?
Yes, indeed!
Is it better for street scoot to get a lighter bae like 800g instead of like 1400
It will come down to a riders preference
I am 5’10 do you think root industries t bar xl would be okay?
these bars will do you great!
I’m 6’0 and probably gonna grow for 1-2 more years, what scooter would you recommend that would fit me well and also not too expensive? Thanks in advance.
i have a prodigy s8 with the stock bars and theyre just a tad too short for me at 6 foot. theyre 24 inches tall so id recommend about 25 for park, 26 if youre doing more street riding.
Exactly what they said!
I’m 5’7 and ride 28
Hey boss I was wondering what a good height for bars would be with an scs. I’m 5’6
We would suggest bars around 600m for a rider your height but with an scs clamp I would go 580mm!
I am a bit above 6feet, i am still growing bc i am 15 years old, do u think 28 inches bars would be good to ride street?
That would be a great fit.
Hey i am 4'5 yeah ik im short as heck but what bar height would be best for me?
We can cut any chromoly bars for your size! Just go in store, choose one which you like and ask for it to be cut to your measurements!
I have a size 9 shoe and will the prodigy s8 park be a good scooter for me
The Envy Prodigy 876mm and we would usually recommend for riders over five foot 8 inches. Scooter height is based on rider preference though so your best bet would be to try a few different models and see what you're most comfortable on :)
Can you do jumps with the big scooter ?
Yes you can! Any pro scooter can be used to jump
I’m 5’9 is the rp to big ?
I'm 6'2 so that last scooter is perfect for me. But I would like to know if it's good for park or street.
The Root Ind Air RS is great for the park
I’m around 5’8 and wondering how high the bar needs to be in cm since I am English. Any help?
We recommend anywhere between 86 - 90cm

Hey! The Type R is suitable for riders until they're at the hight of 5 foot 5 inches :) I would highly recommend you consider the Type R as it's the best scooter in it's class :)
I have it now and thank you I can do a double whip with ease i got it around 3-4 months ago but since I commented I’ve grown 5 inches the scooter is even better for me now

Unfortunately, these scooters are no longer sold, however, a new RS model will be released to the market very soon! Keep your eyes peeled!
How wide do you need the bar to be and what are the pros and cons for wider or smaller bars than the recommended width?
A good suggestion when looking for bar width is to go by their shoulder width. A wider bar can give you optimum control on the scooter. However it really is down to rider preference!
@@ScooterHutTV Thank you for reaching out! My shoulder width is 50cm but my bar is 63cm wide, it is comfortable for sure! But it seems to be hard to bar spin especially with the 52cm deck length.. I am wondering if more people ride those dimensions and if it is possible to bar spin!? Maybe I can get used to it, for now it seems to snag my t-shirt every time.. I might try for a bit longer before cutting it shorter, Because I might regret chopping into the expensive titanium..
@@SkywalkFPV Hey mate, 630mm is considered a slightly wider width than normal. I used to ride 660mm wide YGW titanium bars and barspins were indeed a pain but not impossible!
Over the course of 10 years of riding, I have slowly preferred skinnier bars and now ride 570mm wide as that's my personaly preference for trick speed like barspins, kicklessess, whips and inwards JL
i’m 6’0 looking for bars that will sit at my bellybutton line would 28’ be to tall

Hi I am 5 foot 8 and want a custom street scooter what is some good parts to use ?
That entirely depends on your size and dimension preferences, however, a great base to start on would be the Butter Deck | 5.5" x 23" | Raw Brushed, currently marked down on our site for just $140.00! I've linked it below:
scooterhut.com.au/products/urbanartt-deck-butter-5-5-x-23-raw-brushed-md2
I would recommend an SCS compression clamp, SCS/HIC fork and some T-bars to go with, but be sure to find what your preferred bar height is before deciding :)
I'm 13 and 6ft and don't know what bar height to get I was looking at envy reaper v3's (26.5 tall) or envy union's (25.5 tall) but I don't know what I should get
For someone who is 6ft I do recommend going with the taller option.
hi i’m about 5’6-7. what would be the best bar height for me
The best bar size for your height would be 24-to-25-inch-tall bar. One recommendation to get you started would be the Envy Prodigy S9, featuring a bar height of 24.4 inches/ 630mm
Here's the link for said product: scooterhut.com.au/products/envy-complete-scooter-prodigy-s9-galaxy

I've provided a link to an S7 model below:

My scooter is very small it my bars are 24 inche and im 6 foot but its so great
I'm 5ft 11in tall and I just bought the Envy Prodigy S8 for my birthday and the bar comes to my groin. Is that too small?
The bars could be a bit to short, some taller bars will be better for your back.
I'm 13 years old and my shoe size is 9 I'm 5'5 should a envy prodigy s8 street be suited for me?
Our Team Leader Jay has the same size foot as you and thinks the S8 Street would definitely suit you! He recommends to not choose a deck less than 19.3 inches in length :)
I'm 6ft 5 and wanting to ride park and street. going for 5.7in x 22in deck. and 28inch bars. think this should be good?
Hi There,
The scooter that you are looking at has a deck size more fitted for street use than park. However, due to your height, it will better suit you.
With the bar, it depends on where the height will come up to on your body. If the 28 inch bars will fall within the golden spot as described, than the scooter will be perfect!
