I'm wondering how many of us were shouting at the screen, "for goodness sake leave it alone man!" Especially when the stencil disappeared and the neat red was going on. lol Turned out alright in the end though, as usual! Thanks for sharing Stewart.
Cheers, Pete...yep, once I'd mucked it up with the red dots, the freehand red was the result of maker's pique! Luckily the gods were smiling on me!!! Feeling a bit jammy! Cheers!
I kept shouting purple, purple, purple! But you picked up the red anyway. I'm glad that was a happy accident to lose the red. The end result is quite nice.
Thanks, Elizabeth - shout louder next time! Or maybe I should do it as a live video with audience participation....could get a lot of opinions at the same time.....who types fastest might have the most influence! Thanks for taking the time to comment - much appreciated. Cheers!
I think I know why I enjoy your videos so much. The dramatic tension, and waiting to hear you say "Shall I try some red?" Of course the fact that the projects come out very nicely helps too. This one is quite spectacular.
Cheers, Kevin. I'll try to keep posting on instagram as well....every so often I forget about one or other of the many social platforms that are out there! Still don't tweet and probably never will!
WOW!! You hit this one out of the park! From the oops I did that on purpose color and the shape of the bowl. I like everything about it, nicely done! Having it on video will help you recreate this effect on future projects.
Thanks, Holly - much appreciated! Will give it another go with different colours and see if I need the luck or whether this is indeed something repeatable! Cheers!!
Thanks, Bonnie. Yep, awesome, despite me! Now to try to do this deliberately....should be easy if I just do everything exactly the same....fingers crossed ;) Cheers
Thank you, Karl - experimenting more is definitely the way to go. Have fun! Thanks for commenting and appreciating the videos. It's great to get such positive feedback. Cheers!
Thank you, Rick - much appreciated!! This is now one of my favourites...though I haven't tried the technique again yet to see if I can actually repeat it!
Now that is actually quite nice. When you were going through your box of paints I was quite relieved when you put down the red, but then you had to pick it up again. Then all those red dots just looked too much in straight lines. Turned out great as the red has subdued back into the piece. I'm sure this looks even better in the hand. Now I'm guessing as you're so pleased that this will actually stay as a finished pieces, rather than being cut back for the next project. Well done, loved watching the process.
Thanks, Paul....luckily, this one came out pretty well at the end, and shows that things can be turned into something attractive despite the best efforts of me to ruin them! Now to try this deliberately and see if i can repeat it....fingers crossed....Cheers!
A fabulous job Stewart, very inspiring, as usual. When I first saw this piece on FB I convinced myself you had used hot glue over a base colour and then removed the glue. Never thought of a stencil! I also like the transition, it works very well. Thanks for sharing and also for the shout out! William.
Thank you, William. I was well chuffed to see your facebook post, and then for it to be shared by the Daniel Collection was fantastic! My plan is to try to do this again...deliberately! How hard could that be? Cheers!
You prolly dont give a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend these days :)
Thanks, Carol. I'll give it a buff in a day or so once the lacquer has had more time to dry....as long as I don't buff too hard and take the colour off!! Cheers!
Hi Stewart Now that I like and I may even try producing my own version in due course once I get my workshop reorganisation complete. One question, where did you get your stencils? Cheers Roger
Thank you, Roger! Hope you do give it a try. The stencil came from Amazon...www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BE6WNXG/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thank you, Inger. I was really pleased with how this one came out. The stencils were from Amazon - tinyurl.com/y5bma6l6 and tinyurl.com/y65w9p22 Cheers!
You should be pleased and you should not give a crap about what anything or anyone thinks .........you are on your own roll here and unlike anything I have ever seen broke my ankle at work 2 weeks ago and I have 5 more weeks of enforced idleness to endure..........personally I think you should ride this quirk in your personality until it drops dead in its tracks
I'm wondering how many of us were shouting at the screen, "for goodness sake leave it alone man!" Especially when the stencil disappeared and the neat red was going on. lol

Great advice, Jed! Cheers!!
Quite possibly so but most probably not too much color. Lol
Thanks, Moe - you sound like you make as much sense as I do...and there should be more people like us in the world. Cheers!!
