I was fortunate enough to be the assistant in the Eamon Andrews Studios when they recorded their demotape with chief engineer Dave Freeley. There were some great bands around at the time but the Blades were standout - and really nice lads. The songs are still in my head. Great to see so much love for the band still!
Brilliant, I use to love, The TV CLUB, I meet Paul all the time in the grocery store (keeping it 80s,) didn't want to say, Tesco's,, I got,(LAST MAN IN EUROPE,),on vinyl in, FREEBIRD RECORD'S, and they had their shop above the bus top newsagents on, Grafton Street, and I got the album signed by them on a very rainy afternoon,, these guys should have been as big as U2, with out a dought, I interviewed them in the back of the TV club, for a fuckin fanzine a friend and I started, photocopy job, stepping out, like a lot of good bands from I suppose everywhere in the world, they will always have their loyal following and it should get bigger, great job 👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
And Everytime I meet Paul in Tesco's, he's always engaging 👍, and I will admit, I have said to some of the staff in Tesco's,do you know who that is,!!??, especially to some of the lads that are working in Tesco's, but thier in a band or want to DJ,etc and a couple of them have come back to me and said yeah they are good 👍👍👍
