Also look at Calculated Kinetics Dogtag Plates. Their leading edge guard actually redirects carbon from covering optic lense as well the leading edge to rack the slide off an edge.

Im not saying dog tag dont work but I have about 5k rounds on my m&p compact with an SRO optic and I never ever had carbon build up on my optic lenses but there is carbon build under the rim of the optic but not on the lenses

@ g19 is not the same as a the m&p2.0. M&p have this small hole by the injection port which causes carbon build to some. Glocks dont have that hole so it would have that problem

Damn son the Holosun comp looks HUUGE on the M&P lol. I’m running the Meprolight MPO-PROs on my edc M&P 2.0 4.6” 10mm. My rmrsc plate is the DPP titanium plate, which imho is the best my cost effective plate. You have to tap them in they fit so snug. Have them on about 6 different pistols, never an issue. I use either the tlr1-hl or PL3r for my weapon light depending on what I’m doing. For edc the PL3R is enough and the ability to recharge is nice. If I’m going hunting, hiking, camping, etc it’s the Tlr. Nice video.

    Direct mount is king.

Arise is good, it may be better than direct mount. Only due to the tight tolerance.

Well you can’t mount the shroud without the plate. The plate has the holes to mount the shroud.

I shoot more than most in here commenting and willing to place a wager on me shooting more than the guy in the video/advertising this plate system.
I have NEVER need a shroud! Most are more of a hindrance than anything. Holster fitment being a big one.
Never had a quality optic fail from impact that wasn’t seriously intentional..
That includes the SRO which is on my carry gun and USPSA Limited optics gun.
At no time would you need a shroud in a competition setting. Dropping your gun is an automatic DQ..
it’s pretty entertaining to read what people will come up with to justify this plate system.

I compete in carry optics (you can see in my other videos). Like I mentioned I shoot 1-2 matches every week. I’m all for constructive conversation, but you are speaking from assumptions on others rather than just your own personal experience. I compete in PCSL 2 Gun primarily (with a mix of USPSA and IDPA here and there) and I’ve definitely seen people fall with their firearms. I also have an interest in brute strength, tactical games, and run and guns (5k gun matches) and firearms and optics are prone to banging up against objects even in holsters. I get not everyone needs this and that’s why this company offers a regular plate system without the shroud. But for people like me and others that compete in similar competitions, it’s nice knowing we have a bit more protection on our sensitive optic when lifting objects or moving in less than desired environments. I appreciate your opinion, but making assumptions based on speculation makes it hard to have constructive conversation, even if we have different view points
