This is one of the best and worst videos ever. Ever since I saw this video and heard this song it has been at the very top of my favorite songs. Only the video does it justice for you. Hell, I'm crying watching you. Its that powerful. So glad you got to see it. Finally my guy getting some recognition. One of the best songs ever. Now you can listen to the extended version. You'll love it.
I love his voice! This is a beautiful song 🎵 by Aaron Hall! Great request! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏👏👏👏I had forgotten about this one! The reaction by Ashley is fire! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Peace, love❤ and Blessings 🙏🏼to the AR Squad! 😎😎😎😎😎😎👏👏👏👏
Yeah, it took me a great while to stop tearing up over this video. Other than that, Aaron Hall or Guy (the group he originated from) was a force to be reckond with from those times.
Aaron Hall lead singer of Guy had plenty of trauma to draw from in his life. He grew up in the Bronx where he has been shot and stabbed. Before his 21st birthday on Christmas Day he witnessed his mother hit and killed by a drunk driver. In '94 his son Aaron Jr died in his arms shortly after his birth.
@@smitty8254 Like I said, that came out when I was T E N and I have ALWAYS been stuck as to why it went how it did. Then, I GREW UP TO LEARN that what happened to her happens to us EVERY FKN DAY in AmeriKKKa. What killed her was probably PREVENTABLE and possibly FORESEEABLE🤨🤨
@@ciarrajohnson3849 well ok. Where’s all this hostility coming from? 😳 You just wrote you didn’t know any of that. I was just giving my 2 cents. Hopefully I’m wrong about it but that’s what I’m getting from you.
R. Kelly took his style lol but to be fair, Aaron's style was so popular the labels wanted vocalists to sing like him cuz that was the wave for the NEW JACK SWING era
Well the rumor was that R Kelly gave Aaron this hit on the low for Aaron to go on later and try to take credit for it. Notice you never heard another hit like this from Aaron. Interesting….. is this was a hit for Aaron. His BIGGEST….. Now why could he not duplicate the success OR even the sound?!?
This is a lovely song and it's sad and just just for those who don't know. Aaron Hall said that this is a true story. About the death of his first child 😔
Your reaction is heartfelt 😢, there’s a related RL story behind this song. Artists express their deepest pains thru their mediums. While the video is profoundly sad, the truth in it has helped many to overcome their grievances.
I’ll never forget where I was when this song came out and I first saw the video. I was at my Aunts house and I saw her watching this crying. I didn’t understand why until I was older because at the time I was 10 years old. Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of the fun summers I had at my Aunt and Uncles house. Good times, good memories.
lmao i just heard myself amen'ing you and had to laugh "listen the women back then" and im like "MM HMM! YUP! MM HMM!" before you even finished your sentence lol
Aaron Hall is a very underrated male vocalist. He’s probably best known for his lead singing for GUY, but true R&B aficionados did not sleep on his solo efforts. He has a full, powerful, voice, his delivery is effortless. Try “When You Need Me” and “ the slower version of “ Don’t be Afraid”… enjoy ❤
@@DawgcityClev You’re overthinking my comment.. Aaron is a powerhouse talent but in his day you had the likes of R. Kelley, Keith Sweat, Joe, Luther Vandross, and others who made their careers as soloist. Aaron made a splash with guy but Teddy Riley got a lot of the attention with his continued success with Blackstreet , WrecknEffect, and his writing hits for others in the industry. I’m a huge fan of Aaron Hall, he deserves to be more recognized is what I was stating. Appreciate you defending him but my comment is 100percent the opposite of your interpretation.
I've seen Guy in concert! Aaron Hall was really good as the lead Vocalist but as a solo artist he just didn't have the same level of success! He is not on the same level as R Kelly, Keith Sweat, Joe and Luther who were all better solo artists! Now Luther and R Kelly are two of the greatest to ever sing!! I thought A Hall would have more success but he didn't! I also think the lead singer from Backstreet is a better solo artist than A Hall!

Ashley, no you ain't on YT telling your man (and the whole world) that he NEEDS to be depressed over you...LMBO!!!! But yeah, this video is a shonuff tearjerker.
Aaron Hall dedicated this song to his wife and kid. His son died at childbirth and he witnessed his wife in a hit and run by drunk driver and she died as well.
You know this is what r Kelly got his style from he got it from Aaron Hall his voice and everything but Aaron Hall got his style and his voice from Charlie Wilson and they will tell you
Everyone knows this is who R. Kelly stole his whole style from the ball head, the way he sings, Aaron would also carry Kane. It was just crazy, but I guess when you have a bigger label behind you, but yes, I love this song, but when the video came out, it threw me just like it did you, great reaction

Saddest video ever. Such a beautiful song
R Kelly turn back the hands of time...equally sad....
He got one of the best voices in all music
When he sang "everytime I lay at night, all I do is cry", you felt every note. So for real.
We knew it was coming 😢 we all went through this back in the day watching this
This is why we love you Ashley, you are not afraid to let the music touch you❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aaron Hall - I Miss You and Dru Hill - Never Make A Promise are the saddest videos ever I still think about both of them over 20 years later
Immature please don't go on that list too
Good Man by RL is also a good song and video, sad but loving.
Aaron was that Dude! Slow jams for Days!!!
The group “Guy” was really a great group which Aaron hall was a party of. R. Kelly came out of that group as well

One of R Kelly inspirations
They both had the same manager
This is one of the most touching songs of the 90’s. Many did not realize what happened
This and Men At Large I'm So Alone.
His first two solo albums are soo good! THE VOICE
Agreed. Adult's Only had some great songs too.
Your hair is amazing. Love it
Aaron Hall was definitely a beast but got overshadowed by RKelly basically RKelly took his style and ran with it 💪🏾
Facts!
Salute to whomever directed the video. They captured exactly what it feels like to lose someone 😢
Agreed, the 90’s ladies in videos were fantastic

Back in 90s was a reality check on our lives we appreciated life more ty for the video heartfelt still
