    Wonder if she will be able to keep that fantastic level until she will become olympic eligible..

    Great skate for Mao Shimada except for the 4t fall, such great skating skills, artistry, and spins with amazingly picturesque positions and rotation speed. Bad tech call on the ur with negative GOE It was rotated and really well done.

    ジャンプも勿論すごいのだけど、高速スピンが楽しめるのも麻央ちゃんのスケートの魅力❤
    ただでさえ回転が速いのに、スピンの回転を速くする練習をしたとインタビュー記事で読みました。

    4Tは捨てろ勢も出てきているけど、麻央さんは真央さんのようにアスリートとして拘っているので

      Most of Mie Hamada's students don't have high jumps. They only rely on quick rotation so when they grow up, the technique will start to fall, eventually.

    The under on the triple axel was too harsh. I would call it a q at most. But they let her off on the triple lutz of her first 3-3 and the triple toe of her 3-3-2. Both were blatantly underrotated, and the judges didn't call them at all. Strange.

    • @KumaKumaKyun
      @KumaKumaKyun Рік тому +2

      Hm looking again in even slower motion for the triple axel, perhaps under rotated wasn't so harsh after all. Looks like q or < are both reasonable. Even her triple salchow from her 3-3-2 could've been given a q... Hopefully these rotation problems are only temporary for Mao. The judges were quite lenient today by not calling several ur's and a potential q, but they will not be as nice in the future if she were to get a reputation of underrotating jumps.

    • @yhg5076
      @yhg5076 Рік тому +6

      @@KumaKumaKyun I don't think she has trouble with the axel, she seems to have entered into it at a bad angle that was the issue here. The quad is likely due to her age and puberty, she will be OK, she just needs time to rework her skills.

    I love this athlete but she had many jumps under rotated and a bad fall. I belive the scores was very inflated look at their faces they knew it was not that good. On top of that 2nd placed American was underscored in the Short program giving room to Mao. These differences in Figure Skating today is what injuring our sport. If we cannot have compentent Judges then let some other judging algo do the work.

    Patina bien; sin embargo, como la mayoría de las japonesas, tiene problemas de rotación. Sería maravilloso que arreglaran eso desde este momento. Verla es increíble. Si tuviera la potencia de Kaori, sin duda, sería una patinadora excelente.

    • @rafael00084
      @rafael00084 Рік тому +4

      No es un problema de japonesas es un problema de la entrenadora Mie Hamada, la cual cuenta con la mayoria de patinadoras destacadas de japon como eteri en rusia, ella a dicho que en lugar de enfocarse en altura se empeña a entrenar velocidad de rotación lo cual esta bien pero cuando llegan a la pubertad realmente sufren para ajustar su tecnica, por eso Ayumi, Ikura, Haruna que son del equipo de Hamada han tenido problemas esta temporada, en el caso de Mao pues tiene mucho mejor bote de salto y tecnica en general que la ha mantenido en mejor nivel.

    • @rafael00084
      @rafael00084 Рік тому +6

      Ademas de que las marcas que se dieron en esta competencia fueron muy exageradas, su triple axel no era under, si acaso podia recibir una q pero no mas de eso, muchas patinadoras recibieron llamadas de atencion muy extrañas aqui, pero bueno esta claro que la calidad de giros, de pasos y de los saltos ademas de la coreografia y sobretodo su consistencia son de las mejores en el campo junior por lo mismo incluso en sus malos dias realmente no le va mal

      @@rafael00084 De acuerdo contigo. Creo que Mao es la mejor junior, hablando de las competencias oficiales. Habrá que ver cómo es su rendimiento contra las rusas, cuando se les permita competir. Será agradable verla en competencia. Le falta ese empuje de verse en aprietos, los cual le dará más carácter.
