I love this interview with Veronica. Last night I watched the one with Angela. They are such a big part of my childhood-I'm Angela's age. We watch the reruns of Leave It To Beaver and Veronica played two roles and the list of her acting credits is a long one. Both ladies are so talented and terrific. Thanks so much!

Indeed. Veronica also appears in the 1978 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers - seems like she was made for horror films, a true scream queen. :)

She is so fascinating to listen to. She has so many stories to share and to relive with the public. My mom used to comb my hair in bangs and a ponytail like the Cartwright sisters. I am also an I Love Lucy fan as well as a Bewitched fan with Dick York as the first Darrin Stephens. Innocent times for sure. ❤

I love Veronica Cartwright. She’s a phenomenal actor! Her credits are huge.
Her facial expressions are great and she is known for always being an amazing ‘cryer’!! So authentic and so believable!
My absolute favorite performance by Veronica was in the movie drama ‘The Children’s Hour’ with Audrey Hepburn, Shirley MacLaine, James Garner, Miriam Hopkins & Fay Bainter.
Veronica played Rosalie Welles and her performance tore my heart out. Fantastic movie!!!

@@farrellmcnulty909 Veronica had a large part in the movie and her role as Rosalie was crucial to the plot of the story.
And of course the main children’s part was Mary Tilford played brilliantly by Karen Balkin. What a brat. She was excellent too!
All around fantastic movie and great acting by all.

@@rosalynforte509 Rosalyn, you're really whetting my appetite. I hope it's on the shelf when I'm over there this evening. I remember some other version of the story, I think it was either a British version (naturally) or was it a tv version? Of course I'll Google, I'm a fan of the story. It's brilliant - I'm jealous I didn't come up with it myself.

I know she doesn't focus on Scary Movie 2 in this interview, but I can see why she was cast in it, and was one of the funniest highlights of the movie, especially when she was crying right as the priests were going upstairs to perform the exorcism. She watches them walk up the steps and turns around and flashes one of the funniest-looking crying faces I've ever seen. She's fantastic.

I'm a huge fan and student of early TV. It really hurts to learn that it was Patricia Blair's insistence that the young 15 year old Veronica Cartwright be removed from the cast of "Daniel Boone". Up to this point, I've always liked and admired Ms. Blair in anything she appeared in. While I will continue to respect her talent as an actress, and appearance on "Golden Age" TV, Ms. Blair has fallen considerably in my estimation as a person. As a young preteen boy, "Daniel Boone" was an important program in my life. I was extremely disappointed when "Jemima Boone" (Veronica Cartwright) suddenly disappeared from the program, because "Jemima" and "Israel" (Darby Hinton) were the two characters that a young boy could ID with. While I didn't have a crush on "Jemima", she felt like a much loved older sister, and her loss seemed to cause a loss of "heart" from "Daniel Boone". I'm very sorry that Veronica had to experience that.

Not half as sorry as she was😄, but it was great for her to see her ex-tv-mom in the unemployment line as well.

Her Dragnet episode is to be found on FreeVee. I watched it this morning and was thinking of her story behind the scenes "IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE READING IT". I wouldn't say it was good television, but it was fun to watch. I really didn't notice her eyes darting back and forth. Oh, that's right, she did say Jack Webb said "forget it, just do what you were doing" (LMFAO)

I can't at all say I blame her. She got burned. Veronica's very pretty and she can handle anything and she can really bring something to the table of any project, whether Dragnet, Alien or even something as vapid as Leave it to Beaver. She's a real presence and Patricia Blair should have considered her a real gift and an asset. Maybe Veronica Cartwright was a huge part of Daniel Boone's appeal as a series. Soem people just never get enough credit and are always sidelined for one reason or another.
