We are the first person in all of Central America to take delivery of this vehicle. We have owned it for three days. So far it’s amazing. We did swap out the tires for off road tires, added security window tint. A few things, the brakes are really touchy, it took a day to get use to. It seems to be sucking gas. It’s packed with a boatload of safety features. One of them is forward collision. A man was standing in the center of the road, as we approached him he moved a little towards our lane, the vehicle slammed on the brakes so hard if I did not have a seatbelt on I would have hit the windshield. Prior to buying this vehicle we test drove 10 other vehicles in this price range. In Costa Rica it’s $57,000 Prior to buying the vehicle the dealership let us test it off road because this was a priority for us. Wow! It did extremely well. It has downhill assets. The roads we were on were extremely steep, raining with loose gravel. It handled the road with zero problems
Saw one of these in mall displays and found a lot of the switch gears in my T8P AWD finding its way in the T2. I think it also has the same ACTECO 2.0T engine found in the T8P AWD, same Getrag 7-speed WDCT, maybe the same BorgWagner transfer case (except for the 7th drive mode called X Mode) and the same Voice Command. Heck, I am even getting the same fuel economy as mentioned. I agree with the front tow hooks though, they should be functional. They could have made it detachable for a real took hook to be bolted in. The T2 is your urban SUV with an occasional rural (offroading) capability, stylish, tech-laden, yet capable. For this price point, it is a good value proposition, unless you have a prejudice with Chinese cars:-)
Even its an CHINESE LUXURY VEHICLE. You cant underestimate its engine and everything. The car looks gorgeous. 2.5m for the specs and everything its worth it. About the maintenance ? It depends on how you will use your car .. if 2.5m is too pricey for you ? Obviously you dont know how you will use your hard earned money for something worth to buy😅
If you want looking funky rough cruiser SUV go for the terminator2 or if you want Luxury Urban SUV get this GS8. But for me I'll get the Montero Sport for peace of mind
Now am worried, what does it mean it requires extra breaking distance! I usually drive very close thrle car infront of me...plz comme t if you experienced the breaking ...plz
if you came from mpv or smaller cars, you are gonna have to adjust and this is normal. suv, pickups and other bigger cars need a bit more extra space to fully stop the car since it is bigger.
This SUV looks like a shrunk Land Rover defender at 5x less the price. Sadly it's only available for Gas engine very thirsty 4km/L. Better buy Powered Diesel Montero Sport or Ford everest or Toyota Fortuner for Peace of mind reliability and resale value issues.
@@khaledtamano5558 let’s see the cheapest Toyota Fortuna is $3000 more, two year warranty 20,000 km The Ford Everest is more than $20,000 only comes with a three year warranty 36,000 miles At least these are the price differences currently in Costa Rica. I know I just bought this car after test driving all of the others that you’ve mentioned.
Ism just worried by all these cars from Asia about safety. They will never be as reliable as Volvo or such . That's why u don't find them on European streets I guess. But a lot of car for that money. And we know nothing about reliability after e.g. 150k km or 10y of driving.

should've added third row seats to be a legit competitor in the midsize SUV segment
Loved how informative and upbeat the video was :) thanks for sharing!
Hoping to see more of this beauty on the road.

We are getting them in Jamaica now
It almost similar to Defender here in UK
Do this car have a better driving dynamics than Mazda cx 8 or 9?
GAC soon to launch in 🇿🇦
Recently news just spread that Jetour will also soon launch. 🇿🇦
Front recovery hooks. How do we tow the T2 from the front ? ?
Off-roaders have recovery points at the front and the rear. All cars have tow points at the front.

Adjust your driving distance to brake safely.
Driving to close to the car infront of you. Usually causes accident on the road. You should adjust the way you drive. Its you and not the car

Both are good, but serve different purposes.

Nice looking SUV.
I think your fuel consumption is wrong. It would be higher in the city, not the hwy
I said Fuel economy, not fuel consumption. Two different things.
For 2.5M this is the most powerful vehicle compared to it's competitor for the same price
This T2…or Subaru Outback?
In USA and other Countries Price by 19000 USD in Philippines 39700 USD wat is different???? J2 its building from chery from China
This is not sold in the US.
Saw Tito Sotto driving one. Kaya pala kasi T2. 😂😂😂
The Jetour T2 Sen 😆

You do know that any review is always subjective, based on the experience of the reviewer? Otherwise, the video is just a glorified spec sheet.
