Jon this was soo good! It was laid back which i enjoy vlogs like that but it still had me locked in the phone the whole time haha. Hope you have great holiday break 🤠
Hi Jon! Just finished watching your 2021 nyc day in a life video. It's so cool to see how things have changed now in San Francisco! Your videos are so inspiring I'm currently studying CS and would really appreciate it if you could review my resume whenever you have a chance. Let me know the best way to get in touch. Thanks so much for considering!:)
hi edwin! I don't have capacity to do resume reviews; I would actually highly recommend you run it through an AI like t.ly/jobright it's free to sign up and use
I switched careers. Did an accelerated CS degree but I feel it didn't help much in me becoming a SWE. I feel I can code but, for example, I don't know how to make anything larger than a calculator app. I cannot look at a codebase and understand what's going on. Help please!? And Thank you.
in my CS program, we were required to take software engineering classes to learn how to actually build and develop software. I would recommend doing the same! navigating a codebase is a skill that you can learn through practice and experience, but I'm sure there are equivalent online tutorials and classes that can help.
hi jon im in sf also and recently got rejected in final round from a FAANG company. If you have time do you have any way I could contact your for just a few minutes for mentorship?
there are so many different career paths to become a software engineer, it's hard to recommend one without knowing more about you and your goals. with that said, here's one guide to help you get started bit.ly/google-tech-dev-guide

Bro your typing speed is really impressive! My speed is 35wpm and while coding i am just bad at typing symbols.
You’ll get better with practice!

I hope I can find a job. Sadly, have no connections and seems like you need them nowadays.
Connections are super helpful, but it’s still worth trying even if you don’t have any!
please what are the course certifications I would have to take in other to be a software engineer
