I love when a tool does its best to seem like cool-sweet-magic, I scan a QR code to see the application on my phone and viola, I get an endless spinner, no real error message. I love when development tools treat developers like "end-users". Yes, both are on the same network.
Improves way to get started, kudos 👏 and 1. Does dev build preview on web? 2.Do you need Internet access when developing using dev build. e.g. running the servers and stuff?
1. No, dev builds are only needed for Android/iOS devices. You can hit "w" after running `npx expo start` to see a web preview. 2. No internet access needed to develop locally with a development build.
Yes, as long as your project does not rely on native dependencies outside of the SDK. Expo Go includes the latest Expo SDK. If your project only needs those, then it'll work in both Expo Go and a development build.
Wow, it's been already amazing two years ago but now so many things improved again. 👏
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you're having a good experience.
Thank you , been really looking for a tutorial like this !

Great. Now make one with development build also 💪
It’s very good new template to start your new project!
Hey can you make series about backend development with expo
love this new setup method!
Thank you! It's only going to get better.
Expo needs a good UI library. Common you guys can make it happen. Ionic does this so you guys can

The lack of professional UI libraries is a huge pain.
There is only tamagui but very bad documentation
@@ghalemsalim3041how about antdesign
@@ghalemsalim3041Plus very bad UI design.
Have you tried NativeWind? github.com/nativewind/nativewind
When using the dev build, can I still use the expo go app?

I'm on going to develop my Blockchain dApps with expo 🔥🤪
I'm stuck on git push. I have been waiting for 30 minutes
That sounds like an issue! I would try restarting the process. We will look into our logs and see if we can track down any issues happening right now.
@@ExpoDevelopers thanks
@@ExpoDevelopers this one still happening right now
How can we build locally in windows?
This should help: docs.expo.dev/build-reference/local-builds/
@@ExpoDevelopers "do not support Windows for local builds" this is written on this page.
That's why I was requesting expo to consider this
No option for gitlab?
Not yet. More version control options are something we've talked about. We have a lot of features to add here over the coming months!
