I absolutely love this album from Kelly Clarkson! She is so unbelievably talented & just seems like such a sweet human being! I hate that she had to go through the pain, but she at least had a killer album come out of it.
Really great analysis Nathan. That's why I really like her deep songs because even though it's a really sad topic her message does show some form of hope. I was really lucky as I got to see her live in Vegas where she done 10 shows which she broke the record for having every date sold out. I like you guys banter ignore the haters as long as you have viewers you are doing something right.
As a woman that had my life wrecked by my now ex I completely get her meaning and this song was healing and on repeat For a while. Along with another one on her album and two of Adele’s.
Of course the lyrics are bound to be somewhat hopeful we're talking about a woman who has already been through so much in her 20s. You cannot expect her to write songs in her 40s in the same vein as her older songs like Irvine, I'm Ready or Sober. Come on. Thats growth.

The biggest reason she wrote the way she did was due to her children. They have 2 children together and she needs to also consider how they would react to it or how it would portray their father.

Kelly released the best divorce album I have heard. I love Adele, but Kelly hit my soul deeper than anything I had ever heard.

I do watch her talk show. To be honest the first month wasn't bad but it wasn't great but by the end of the first season she had it down.
She knew her marriage was over after she wrote the song.
