Thanks for this opinion! I am a Casio-fan for the last 30+ years and ... it happened to me the same: I lost a washer from one pusher of my Casio F-108. I couldn't find one and I bought a Sanda 2156 to use it as a donor. For my surprise after a few days on my hand I realized that it feels better than the Casio. I reviewed it on my channel. It appears that this fourth pusher and the light are the game changers. And here I am - I just fell with Sanda and later SKMei.
Thank you very much for your great review. Key details I could have otherwise only hoped to find out after the fact, if it wasn't for this video. Ordered one, can't wait 👍🏼👍🏼
For me as I get older the bigger digits are a big must have, in fact I dont see why some digitals even have such tiny digits, legibility is a BIG part of what makes a good watch, but many manufacturers just dont get it includig casio - I also have a nice little 168w but the digits are so tiny its like a kids watch, certainly for kids eyes. Im also a big fan of the 217H and its larger digits, my Casio 5600E Gshock has digits that are way too small for a watch of this grade, I had no idea the digits were so small or I never would have bought the 5600E
FYI - I have 2 of this SKMEI and really like it. Theres a nice set of factory looking black metal 22mm lug adapters from Jays & Kays on ebay that fits both the Casio 217/218H models that also fits this SKMEI 1496 perfectly same as the Casio 218H theyre intended for and they let you install a nice 22mm NATO band, which I did in my case because almost no factory watch band ever fits my large 8.6" wrist. Anyway the plastic bands arent all that comfortable from what some say and they always end up breaking, and if the watch should get destroyed or quit working you still have a swappable 22" NATO band and re-useable adapters for the watches listed above and the 22" band is a popular size on many watches. Youre lucky to be able to use the factory band as they are nice looking, im not so fortunate hence the NATO band swap.
J&K's are some of the nicest fitting nearly factory looking metal adapters, not big and fat looking as others, almost like theres no adapter at all if one didnt know right off. At first I was like: adapters and band cost more than the watch - but the adapters and NATO once assembled makes for a solid more "pro" looking combo with adapters and bands always swappable and re-useable - just my opinion of course we all have our personal preferences. Any more I wont buy a watch with proprietary lugs that fit nothing but the stock straps, I cant wear the stock band sizes anyway (too short) so for me watches having common sized and placed spring bars in the lugs allowing the nato or even leather option really make a lot of sense for swapping and length to fit my large & apparently neanderthal wrists-😆😆😆
@@Tim2pointoh For lovers of digital watches, Skmei increasingly offers more quality and better price than Casio, and copying Casio models but improving them in size or lighting
No doubt the Skmei has done it correctly like the other standard Casio watches (except this W218H and the F91W derivatives). However, I haven't had great experience with Skmei earlier: time keeping was way off the 30 secs/month mark, in fact it was minutes off in a day. Also, with knock-off watches, the caseback and buttons start to rust after a few years, and water-resistance rating is just namesake.
SKMEI is a better beater watch. It's cheap and decent quality. In third world countries, even the f91w costs a week's worth of food. We don't consider casios as the cheapest watch option here.
@kenneth pacheco Copied design is not the same as stolen design, for there are copyright laws in the West that must be followed by the western companies... unlike the chinese ones. So nice try, comrade.
@@netnemawell we in Asia don't care about it. We get good looking, durable watches for 1/3 price then we are buying it. You rich westerners can boycott all you want.
I like how g shocks straps are stiff to keep the backplate from hitting the ground. Genius design
Yeah - I know they highlight that - I wonder if it was an accidental part of the design???

Skmei is the future
Why do you think that?
@@Tim2pointoh For lovers of digital watches, Skmei increasingly offers more quality and better price than Casio, and copying Casio models but improving them in size or lighting
@@ManoAmiga_and cheaper...and that's come from me a g shock collector 😢
I Like the look of the Casio with the Green strap of the skmei It looks ready to go camping or any ouotdoor activity.
The SKMEI and the 218H are my faves for camping.
It call S.K Mei
It means that . Every moment beautiful
I like both.
waaaa! i am tempting to buy this watch 😆

I like Skmei watches. Think it's pronounced "Sa Koo Mei"
Made in China same as Casio, so a real value for money watch
Is there a way to disable the beep every time you press a button on the skmei? I find it too loud lol.
I’m not sure - I don’t think there is.
How is the accuracy
It really noticed an issue - but I swap my watches around loads so have got used to adjusting
I prefer the SKMEI as it has a metal buckle and for £9.99 you cant go wrong.
It does and I actually switched the buckle/strap on my Casio to this one.
@@Tim2pointoh That's my plan when the SKMEI dies I'll buy the casio and use the buckle from the SKMEI. The Casio should have metal a buckle.
Will the bull bar of w218 fit skmei?
With a little stretch
from the Casios W 218 which color u wear the most?
I’ve worn the orange one the most. It was my beater/outdoor watch for about a year solid. But now I wear the all black one the most I think.
MIght do a give away at 500 subs.... What do you think???
Quiero cambiarle la correa ¿cual es la medida de la correa?
18mm. There are so many good strap options in 18mm

They are a great price
Casio f-108 is similar
SKMEI will not live as long as CASIO will live
Lol just buy a new SKMEI then. If you're unaware in third world countries Casios are still expensive.
Skmei is better than casio ..
They cercainly have a wide selection
stop the music
Yeah I tried something different on that video. I didn’t think it was too intrusive, but haven’t don’t it again. 👍🏼
This is called a knock-off FAKE Casio. ALL CHINESE FAKE MUST BE BANNED WORLDWIDE! Period!
Ok thanks.
@kenneth pacheco you could also steal from someone... it is even more "affordable" than buying already stolen.

Good video 🎉
What about dial size ? Will it suite to me while I have larg hands .
Thanx from Lahore 🎉
Yes it would be fine - it’s a basic digital watch same size as most G shocks
