These guys were awesome. I saw them a few times. I bought two of their albums. Who remembers the Barn in Riverside Ca.
You know it. Great times had at the Barn.
I miss the upstairs at the showcase, and that place in general
Darrell Ice- memories of the showcases, small as fuck and sweaty but always the best time there...unless I lost a shoe in the pit lol 😂
Sweatiest funnest venue ever
U guys are too young...started sweating @ the showcase in 91
upstairs where the shirts were sold...
Thank you for uploading this. I miss those old school punk days.
No worries, they were great times man.
I saw a Christmas special with these guys and the White Kaps when I was about 16 at Showcase. Now I'm an old man and my body is slowly falling apart
i organized a project skate park for rancho back in the 90's. we got white kaps, the aquabats, atomic bombs, and more local ones for the benefit. great times.
GET BEER
I must have bought this cd at least 5 times! People would just 'borrow' it and never return it,or return it scratched. Seen them live a few times at showcase in Corona and once at the Claremont civic center. I was like 12 years old...damn I miss those days.
I remember Backside shows at Claremont Civic. Awesomeness!!
Im from Victorville. Live in NYC. I still have my copy of this cd got it when I saw them at the Showcase in Corona CA in 96
kc c Iam from VV as well, the showcase was crazy. Kids have it too good these days. But we had better music!!
Dude I think this is the first time seeing someone in the comments from my town haha
If it was the show with guttermouth then I was there
Victorville too. Remember "behind the 8 ball"
Backside, assorted jelly beans and hopeless
A punk album that will never get old.
Best album ever
So good. Showcase theater every weekend
Thanks for uploading this. We used to drink brews and skate listening to this CD.
I still do! More drinking than skating these days though.
At the Dietrich's down the street from Mission Viejo High. Fuck yes
Brings me back to the 'showcase' days
+Dave Contreras you rock, anyone that knows the showcase is a ok in my book
aquabats at the showcase, anyone at showcase for that matter
Dave Contreras SHOWCASE! LAST show I saw there was Strife, good riddance and AFI. Still the best venue I have ever been to. Sad that It's been closed for 15+ years....
My first punk show at showcase freshman year 95.
These guys were cool . Who remembers the San Bernardino Arena ?
Douglas Skawienski my heart carries so many beautiful memories there.
Hard to pass by and see it built over.
I went to punk shows at the arena and raves at the masterdome. The roof caved in the Saturday after it shut down at like 1 in the morning. There would have been like 2000 kids in there...
Or how about The Barn at UCR?
I saw Pennywise with H20 at The Area in San Bernardino. Good times.
Holy shit I've been looking for this forever!
Thanks for posting. One of my favorite bands when I was HS/early college age. Have no idea where my Backside CDs went and have been trying to dig uo a way to get the music again
No probs man, I only uploaded this years ago because I couldn't find it anywhere online, and now I've become something a staple in a very small corner of the internet!
So good.
The IE's finest
Falling Sickness is really good too
Love the simplicity of the songs and how they use a low distortion. Such a unique sound.
The ol 909 punk scene was great!
thanks for posting this..............beautiful time in history. great little album for what it is
The fly theater in Victorville that's what I remember seeing them who else does
I am going to reopen the showcase ! Come one. Come all. The music will return, the crowds will dance, makeout sessions under the balcony, permits will be current, and building up to code. ALL AGES. IE REBORN!
I am going to take the 182 off Blink's name, and bring them back. Todd Phillips-- CLUB OWNER extreme! Will keep the layout true to it's famous past. A blast forward into the future for all to live in the night again, drenched in the sweet n' SALTY sweat of underground lore. Hardcore jumpkicks unleashed with the fury, and style rippling through harsh gales of psycloning pits, Hawaiian shirted punk ska skank'in, melting with ultra cool hotties from different little empire cities. We can't go back in time, but the salad days will live again. When the Showcase reopens... They will come. 2022? For our punk metal, rockabilly, power violence, bleeding heart heritage. New and old. There will be a place to play, in unity of all our differences. This must be done. My dream breathing life back into lost chambers bringing back a necessary southern CA into what has made us who we are today. All former security personnel, your hired. Slip apps under door. Let the games begin. 💚🤎💜💛
Sick punk band
This takes me way back. Wish I could find the album for download... but with all the songs individually ripped.
Dude the I seen them with special secret guest exploited in like 96 at the showcase fuck i miss that place.
Good harmonies and love that lead guitar
im not sure if it's true but i heard it might be opening up again. subhumans live in a dive was recorded there and many great memories in that place.
Last i knew the showcase is done, but we can hope!!
Copacetic cafe in San Bernardino :D
Seen you guys several times back in the 90s.
What a great time for punk!
saw them once at the troubadour with Union 13 headlining it. I miss my punk days :(
I’m 15 again and headed to The Showcase to smoke pot and watch Backside
I saw these guys, blink 182 and homegrown play every weekend my senior year@ the showcase theater, it was $8 bucks a ticket....
So did I 94-97 every weekend showcase was my second home
I remember playing with Marky Ramone kinda wish we got the Backside my first favorite local band
I had this CD. Bought it at MadPlatter. Singer sounds a bit like Lint OPIV. The only thing about this band was the same drum beat and tempo for all tracks. But it's still dope. They should do another album with better production cuz there's talent lyrically and musically
Omg mad platter...memories homeboy memories...all good
I love how simple and frantic that skateboard hardcore bands drummers' one drum beat is
Showcase!!!!
Showcase theatres finest
SHOWCASE !!!
Still strong 💪
My 2nd show was at the Showcase. First was at the short lived Viva Las Vegas, in Anaheim maybe? Total Chaos, Blackspot, Overlap and some other band.
A group of Nazi skins in a VW bus that had the roof sawed off drove off after the show, sieg heil-ing as they slowly puttered off down Ball St. We were astonished as 14 year old punk rock tadpoles, it was so cartoonish. Haha
They used to get the shit kicked out of them in the pit
Showcase theater and then the free show on serfas club dr at the bmx shop
#Showcase
If I'm not mistaken my first show was ×swindle× backside and narcoleptic youth at showcase. Maybe 1999? Idk
Swindle was cool too
Jamz
