Looks like it’s a popular consensus among most of the FSD drivers I’m chatting with. I’m sure Tesla will come up with a compromise in the next version.
I got to get out and found the same issue, coming up on slowed ir stopped traffic waaaay too fast for comfort. I wasnt as brave as you and I hit the brakes. DONT FORGET that if you hit the brakes you need to take over steering, and if you lift off the brake you go into heavy regen braking, you might need to get on the accelerator or keep your foot lightly on the brake to coast, depending on the situation. Thank you for the great advice. I will definitely implement your suggestion. I truly appreciate you taking the time to leave this comment. Stay safe out there.
The easiest suggestion you can get is simply that the more challenging the drives are the more people will watch (use that in the titles). That s why i subscribed (you said New York city right?). Do your research, invest in Tesla.
I really like your observations. It would be good to understand how close you think they are to solving autonomy for robotaxi. Obviously I understand parts of autonomy pay are yet to be delivered, but it’s good to understand for the parts that are delivered today, how close are we.
As I mentioned in my video, I believe Tesla has effectively solved the A-to-B portion of trips. It’s clear to me that the Tesla AI team understands what needs to be done to continue improving their training models. Of course, there are specific scenarios that require targeted training, but those don’t seem to be a priority right now. I’m confident they have an extensive list of challenges they’ll address once FSD becomes feature complete. To me, “feature complete” means handling A-to-B trips, parking, reverse, and k-turns. I expect version 13 will reach that milestone, and from there, the clock will start ticking on tackling the long list of remaining interventions we all keep reporting. Let me know if that answers your question. I’m happy to provide more feedback if you have more questions.
Personally I like to ride in the middle lane on "stroads" like you're on in the middle of this video. Even if the left lane is going faster, I'm happy to stay in a lane that allows me to more easily exit the highway when it's time to make a turn. Being in the left is annoying because you really have to be on the ball when it's time to turn. I think Standard's happy place is the middle lane on roads like that, and I approve of that. Hurry would tend to hug the left lane and speed a lot. Fully agree on the braking. Everyone in #fsd in Tesla Discord is talking about how unnerving the braking is in 12.5.6.x. I think it's braking more aggressively because other people are complaining about it not stopping aggressively enough. Maybe we need that to be a tunable. I would like to have lots of options so I can customize the drive the way I want, not the way some other bad driver wants.
The middle lane is perfect for flexibility, and I agree that 12.5.6.x braking feels like an overcorrection-I like the idea off let us customize settings to match our driving style.
Tesla should provide more driving options, such as a ‘stay in lane’ feature. It’s very frustrating when the system insists on switching to a lane I don’t want to be in.
I've had similar experience with 6.3. it's really smooth linear braking but sometimes comes too close when braking and lane changing. OTOH in busy traffic it needs to be assertive.
I hope that FSD will soon come to Europe, and of course, that North Macedonia will become an EU member so we can have FSD too, Tesla would build more superchargers in Albania, North Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria and Croatia so we can drive our cars fast (like 150 or 160 km/h, not 110 km/h . If I made a mistake, please remind me because, as a non-native English speaker, I want to improve my English as much as possible. And i want to ask you a question? Which state do you live in?
You did a good job on the post thank you for reaching out. I’m in New Jersey, USA 🇺🇸 . I’m real excited for you guys to get FSD as well it’s going to be so cool to see the global FSD videos with all your stunning views.
Agreed about FSD tendency to haul until very late to start braking. It should ease off or coast when cars are full stopped ahead.

I Love your Videos Keep them coming 😍🤩🥳❤💯💫👍👍👍
Thanks! Will do!
Keep up the good work! Great interior camera angle.
Thank you so much. I appreciate you subscribing. We are just getting started
I am subscribed, let make the ny drive happen.
Let’s go we are so close

I appreciate it and look forward to doing that testing in NYC.

Thank you for sharing your experience it’s nice to know it’s not just me being uncomfortable.
it'll pass and speed more if you use hurry
I’m planning on testing hurry mode next to see what that’s like on highways.
