My dear Molly, I am so glad that the UA-cam algorithm thought I might enjoy your channel, and I have been *loving* it! I find everything about your videos captivating, inspiring and simply delightful. This one for instance: how on earth does one even pack for a two-week residency when one is a printmaker? So enjoyable and helpful. As for your worry book - it is amazing that despite everything you’ve been through and continue to work out, you make, not only beautiful work but also present them here with little fuss and a lot of thought. Well, I can go on and on, and as you can probably tell, I am a fan! (A 52-year-old Indian woman drawing, painting and printmaking in the San Francisco Bay Area :-) Hope your residency is fulfilling in all kinds of ways, and looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to! 💕
Wow, what a wonderful comment to read! Messages like these really do mean so much to me and give me a much needed boost! So pleased you also enjoy creating art, I always think how lucky makers are to have art as an outlet, I don’t know how I’d go through life without it!
the box of little gifts for your husband is so thoughtful! such a lovely idea, i'm sure he appreciated the cute surprises while you and winnie were away
Just found your channel. I’ve never thought of travelling with my printmaking stuff, or carving outside. lol blown my mind really. Love your prints btw. Love from Australia
It’s interesting that you have an anxiety journal. I have a positivity journal but it’s for the same reason really. I get very anxious about all sorts of things and overthink everything, usually in a negative way. I find it helps me hugely to write down every day all the things that have made me happy and/or enhanced my life in some way. Some things are just very small but i love doing it and find it very helpful. I have just started watching your channel and really loving it. I have done some paper weaving!! 😃😃.
Oh yes! I used to do that but I didn’t write them down, I actually stuck bits of tape around the house and each time I noticed a piece of tape I challenged myself to think of 3 good things, it did help my mindset I think! Although they were often the same 3 things 😅🙈 so pleased you’re enjoying my videos 🥰
Thank you for sharing your packing with us, can’t wait for the next video and seeing your beautiful artwork, hugs to you & Winnie from a fellow Snowdonian resident 🙂
I really enjoyed this video of your preparation for your residency.....so much to consider and to decide what to take. Would you talk a bit more about your residency....how did it come about, were you offered the time and space or was it your decision. Do you present your work at the end....I'm thinking for a Guild maybe? Sorry if you've already covered this, I'm curious how it came about.....the backstory. Have a wonderful 2 weeks....less now as I read this.....looking forward to seeing what wonderful art you create.
Great questions! I’m making a vlog which will hopefully cover all these! So pleased you’ve enjoyed watching, it was hard to decide what to bring, I only forgot one thing in the end (my trail cam) so that’s not bad 🥰
@@mollylemonart well, that's very good Molly, only forgetting one thing, with such a lot to think about. It's not easy. I moved house last week, but in those weeks leading up to the move, while packing, I was determined to still sew.....I didn't, bigger job than I thought....but deciding what I'd sew and which fabrics was so hard. Then add all the tools.....I was over reaching myself for sure.
