Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Not alot of big ones, but a fun trip! I wish it was a Cobia!!! We haven’t seen them in our area too much recently and I would love for the to have a comeback! But I saw it pretty clearly and unfortunately it was a shark.
Thanks! He was in the helm area like I showed right there at the end, so I was hoping he would just stay there, but when I got back from latching the anchor and got things ready to go I couldn’t find him. I circled the boat a couple times looking for him, but I guess he flew off. But he wasn’t with me when I went out in the morning so I assume he just flies around out there until he finds a boat. I wish I knew what type of bird he was. Just never seen one out there like that.
MR fishing man 1you have a beautiful boat, question if you take people fishing how much would you charge? MY NAME is Tim crews and I live in mulberry Florida
I haven’t gotten into the charter business. I’m considering it though. I need to get my captains license and get all the regulations done etc. If I end up doing all that I will let all my subscribers know first. So look out for that. Thanks for watching!!
Nice catch but let me understand. I see you have casting rods, and why not use them. Spinning rods, I all ways have them in my boat. But when I drop it to the bottom. I use a casting reel.
Just more comfortable to me. Since I was targeting smaller fish that spinning gear is lighter and just less weight. Now if I was targeting big snapper or grouper I would use my Shimano speedmaster for sure. Thanks for watching!
He was with me all day until I started getting the boat together to head back. He was there in the helm area like I showed at the end but after I put the riggers down and latched the anchor I didn’t see him. I circled the boat a couple times but never saw him. I guess he found another boat. He didn’t go out there with me, so I guess he flies around out there just going from boat to boat
Eatin' good in the neighborhood.
For sure!! They made a tasty fish fry!!!
Wilson! Nice haul and good to see you taking precautions on that back deck.
Thanks! Yeah MAYBE I leaned my lesson!
I think that was probably a Cobia. They act like sharks but shrks dont usually surface like that fish did. Great video and keep them coming please.

@forgottencoastfishing I have never seen a wild bird so comfortable around someone like that one was lol
I know! He was not afraid at all, just watching everything. It was good Harry never really noticed him since he would probably started barking at him.
Use to target porgy in S Florida in winter. One of the best eating fish in the ocean.
Agreed! I don’t get them that often but when I do I’m excited since they are good to eat, and something different!! Thanks for watching!

Awesome. How far offshore were you?
Thanks. I was in about 95 ft.
It was not a trophy day, but it was a very delicious day. Thank you for a great video. BTW how far out were you?
Thanks! Yes, just a fun, not too expensive day! I was at about 95 feet.
Whatever happened to Wilson the bird?
